But remember that the "greatest Generation" is responsible for almost all of the major entitlement programs. They scammed the boomers to pay for their retirement. Another reason why maybe they weren't the greatest generation.

Actually, there are some that point out that this was the case.

That the greatest generation grew up at war/during the chaos of the depression and so didn't learn things from their fathers/etc.

They created those because they knew they were going to have ****up children who would be too goddamn greedy to actually lend a helping hand and instead relegate them to old folks homes. Yet in the end, all that **** was expanded upon by boomers because they were a bunch of lazy hippy ****nuts who were too stupid to get real jobs until the late 70s in order to actually fund the system.

These programs were put into place with full knowledge of what the trends were.
The boomers have done their fair share funding the system.

I didn't know the Medicare prescription drug plan was a creation of your parents. Or the wasteful war in Iraq. Or the stimulus. Or the healthcare reform baby boomers are about to pass.

Also, claiming "our parents did it" doesn't excuse your inability to do anything to fix the system in the years you've been in power. You could've solved the problem or at least made it more manageable for ensuing generations, but you've actually made it much, much worse. **** you.
