The Catholic Church does a great deal of charity work all around in the world. In many places, Catholic missionaries are the only source of medical care and education. Frankly I'm not interested in the opinions of a bunch of Brits when it comes to the Church.

        Man, I'm slow today.

I have to say that the Catholic church hardly compares to the force of good of Darwinism around the world. Millions of people have been enlightened by his philosophy of equality and benevolence and inspired to end the suffering of the poorest and weakest among us.

Even Ben agrees with the OP.

I'm wondering what it is about being British that disqualifies one from talking about Catholicism.

Britain has a long history of anti-Catholicism. I'm not really interested in what they have to say, because it's likely to be rooted in that bias.

The West has a long history of anti-Islamism. I'm not really interested in what they have to say, because it's likely to be rooted in that bias.

When you say "Catholic Church" do you think about a church that began I century AD or
                    XVI century AD?

Exactly. Why would Muslims care what some podunk hillbillies think about their religion?

The Catholic Church was most certainly not started in the 16th century. Historians might debate on whether it began in the first century or not, but 16th is just absurd.

Is that what it's called now, charity?
