To be far we don't know if the guy in Florida has killed anyone.

So, is the army going to purge itself of all muslims from its ranks? Seems like the best cause of action considering another muslim officer killed a bunch of people during the Gulf War.

When did I say that? I was just ruling out the possibility that it could have been an incursion by outsiders. The shooter's ethnicity wasn't known at the time.
          Unbelievable!

So much for the argument everyone should carry a firearm to deter bad guys.
If the people he was shooting at were armed, do you think he would have managed to kill more than a dozen and wound dozens more?

What gets me is that these idiots never go after the people that actually matter - for example Crawford is just down the road from Fort Hood...

Not likely. Unfortunately the odds of such an incident happening is far lower than the odds of armed service members shooting each other for other reasons (accidental or otherwise). The base is safer when most are unarmed, not armed.

It would appear the military recognises this. Do you have an alternate explanation?

Maybe not, but how many would the other kill while shooting back ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

This policy will change. It's never happened before, and by changing the policy it won't happen again. I don't personally own a gun, but the logic is simple. If some raving lunatic goes off, folks who are carrying can shoot that guy before he racks up the casulties.

The murderer is a coward. Why did he target a base? Because he knew it was defenseless, and he wouldn't get shot back. Punk ass move.

I hope they don't execute him though. Marry him off to Bubba + friends for the rest of his natural life.

Hey Wezil, why don't you try telling that to the families that have lost folks? Yeah, anti-guns are the way to go, when you paint a huge freaking bullseye on yourself. These folks were targetted.

There you go Felch. Ben disagrees with me.

                        Thanks for playing.

Ben, if we used you as the standard measure I'd be a freaking genius.

Well, I'm always wrong, so if I believe you are of above average intelligence, clearly you can't be.

I'd wager I'd probably score higher on an IQ test than you, but then I don't consider IQ to be a solid measure of intelligence, so.
