The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

On an unrelated note, it was a running joke that the 2nd lieutenants had nicer cars than the majors and lieutenant colonels.
Because they're kids and the priorities and responsibilities are different.
You know, like in the civilian world.

Repealing the "don't ask, don't tell" policy is all about duty to defend by increasing the human resources available for our military.
This is a losing arguement. All the services are at 100% recruitiment this year.
We already had a thread on this not to long ago.
"The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.
Ah, I see the disconnect now. I'm actually giving him no credit whatsoever. I'm sure the humor value and any cleverness that might be found was unintentional, not the misuse of the phrase. I have no doubt that MrFun thought "duty to defend" referred to the military's defense of the country. That's a typical MrFunism.
Now we have Tucker and Benning, 2 straight single guys brand new to the service. They arrive at their first duty station and realize quickly that married folks have it so much better what with the benefits, the HOUSE, the extra PAY, the no GI PARTIES. So Tucker and Benning devise a plan, get married. Can't ask them to prove their gay, can't even say anything about it if its legal. So these 2 are in a service that says yes to LGBT and allows their marriage (even in a state against the marriage? Another debate.) so they get a house, extra pay, benefits...they are known to friends to not be gay, they are even known to several non friends to not be gay, but what can higher ups really do? Maybe these 2 are willing to go the extra mile and make out in front of some just to keep the rouse going. They are now defrauding the government, but honestly at what point is it for anyone to say they really arent just open minded lovers who are both bisexual and were smart? (Do I endorse such actions NO, but is it smart...yea).

Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier
Also, Mr Fun.
I really don't think it's proper to start threads about your perception on the ability to join the military, when you have no intent of enlisting.
I have to be honest, I think it's borderline disgusting. "Here. Let this guy go fight. Me? Oh, no. Not me. He should be able to pay on my debt though. That's only fair."
Do you see how that looks?

We need something more interesting, like a NAMBLA advocate. I nominate BK.
Unfortunately I'm not gay. You'll have to ask a gay person here to be a NAMBLA advocate.

Yeah, no one should fight for equal rights unless they intend to use them themselves.
You know, Slowwy, you're not the stupidest poster on Poly, but you're sure making Ben work to keep that title.
