Capitalism likes social stability. I can't see how you say otherwise. It really isn't a radical philosophy, it doesn't claim to be an organising principle of life. Christianity on the other hand is all of these things. Christianity claims to be transcendent beyond the material world, while Capitalism is a materialist principle, that concerns only how the market works, and how best to organise things necessary for profit and well-being of society. How can capitalism put a price on faith? It can't and it doesn't try to do so.

Capitalism will expand whenever it can, it finds new markets or creates them. Capital constantly seeks to beget more capital and it will munch up anything it can.
