I thought you lived in China?

Also, there are plenty of jobs for people with marketable skills. Simply no jobs for shiftless layabouts like yourself.

EDIT: finally, the recession is over. Get off your ass and get moving.

still watching the speech....can Pelosi sit her ass down and clap?! Does she honestly need to clap for every damn thing this guy says? She might as well just go and kneel down at the podium and .....you get the idea.

I am not assuming that. I am demonstrating that it is logically consistent for that to be the case. The problem with you types is you have no logic.

Is that intelligent enough for you?
Didn't read it. Paragraphs too large. I assumed by the formatting of your post it was retarded.

Ben makes coherent arguments (though unpopular) and this guy throws out some mind-numbingly ignorant stuff:

The recession is over? Really? Shiftless lazy people? And yea, I am in China right now...doesn't change the fact I am an American. Lazy? Hardly, I spent 5 years serving the country, and I currently have paperwork in the works to get back into the service to go, basically getting a ticket reserved to got back to our war in Afghanistan *don't forget ladies and gentleman, liberals included, terrorists started the war with us and we are not going to let them win*.

If the recession is over why is there still job losses? Oh yea, Barry said that even after recovery jobs would still be lost. Things are still expensive, people still don't have money, etc. yadayadayada...just because he say it is so doesn't make it so. Half of the world wants to get rid of their USD reserves....how is the recession over for us if we are about to get flooded with bad money? How is it over if there are still no jobs? How is it over if companies are still closing their doors? Get the point? We are still in a hole, it isn't over until its over.

Remember guys, the time of bickering is over...so quite arguing with each other and accept there will always be a difference. Don't accept scare tactics and just realize...without obama we will all die because we need him to live.

That and if you want more regulations on insurance companies, don't be surprised if insurance prices shoot through the roof and become less affordable (making "health care reform" a joke) without a mandate. Unless you are aiming for a crisis to facilitate the creation of a single payer system?

Maybe just pass a law requiring those who skip out on emergency room bills to have their wages garnished?

Hospitals have payment plans. Why is it so destructive to make payments on a prior health care expenditure as opposed to paying into a pool that you may or may not draw from in the future?

I've paid cash for what limited health care I've needed over the last seven years I've been without insurance. And would pay for whatever need I had in the future. I'm not a drain on society.

Because businesses are continuing to cut deadwood. The US and most of Europe have returned to economic growth. See my thread "Fear is an excellent motivator"

No jobs? 4 million people were hired in July in the US, you lazy s.o.b.

And what happens when you have a catastrophic car accident that leads to over a million dollars in medical bills? What payment plan then?

Why do you have to pay for Medicare and Social Security? All of the citizenry benefits from these programs, so you have to pay in your fair share.

**** that. Many of the people who visit emergency rooms without insurance are just like you; what hope does the hospital have of recovering its money from Freddie Freeloader?

Hospital payment plans are a joke. In actuality, people like you have the hospital over a barrel. I'd like to know how exactly you plan to make payments on a 200k trip to the ER after falling down the stairs when you can't even pony up a couple of hundred bucks a month for catastrophic insurance. If you want the right to go without insurance, I want hospitals to have the right to let you die on the street.

I've paid cash for what limited health care I've needed over the last seven years I've been without insurance.

So drunk drivers who don't hit anybody should be allowed to go on their merry way?

And would pay for whatever need I had in the future. I'm not a drain on society.

I have absolutely no reason to believe that you would pay in full if you needed extensive emergency health care. As with most people in your situation, you would probably work out a deal with the hospital to pay a fraction of the full cost, assuaging your conscience while still forcing those of us who take responsibility for ourselves to bail your ass out.
