I'm a bit short on casual time for the next few years, so here's the deal:

$1 000 000 of hypothetical money which must be invested on shares of corporations listed on S&P 500 before US markets open on Wednesday, 17th of December 2008. Prices are based on the closing prices of Tuesday. Because optimal investing would require daily time & effort, the shares will be held until 17th of December, 2011 when they are all sold and the total money received from original investments will be calculated.

When everyone gets the same handicap of not being able to sell & buy until the end of competition, it won't become a competition of "time and effort willing to spend on earning $0". Value of stock holdings can still be easily compared to S&P Index at any point of the competition, which is the average you want me to beat. In order to keep it simple, all concerning taxes are presumed to be 0%.

the difference between you and me is that you spend a lot of time and effort in trying to portray yourself as an extremely intelligent person, while i couldn't give a **** how big of an iq random people on the internet think i have

if you're as intelligent as you portray yourself to be, you can regularly beat S&P500 index avg. within a few years of experience, that's all i was and am saying. i don't need to spend a few days worth of work in analyzing data in order to prove that to myself.

Unlike you, I DO have demonstrable skills and intelligence. Perhaps you don't understand this, but when you're in possession of such attributes they come through with no effort whatsoever.

When you laid claim to certain abilities in this thread I asked you for some sort of demonstration (or at least a repeatable methodology) which is more than fair given the fact that this supposed ability would be immensely valuable to anyone who possessed it. You initially demurred, then after multiple proddings you agreed to a demonstration. Now that the time for the demonstration has come, you've decided that it's no longer worth your time? Hah. You're a sad little man with delusions of grandeur who's probably employed in some menial profession and whose only "creative" (and I use the term loosely) outlet lies in xenophobic and misogynistic angry white man rants on the internet. If you weren't such a common breed the confluence of psychoses present in your posts would be almost interesting.
