I didn't read the OP. Still, I disagree.

Why would you discuss politics here?

Uhhh, what? I'd say left and right are fairly equally represented here, and also those who are left on some issues and right on others, and still other posters are just down the middle, and still others are insane. But I'd hardly say this is a haven for leftist thinking.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

As for me, I've learned a lot about viewpoints from other parts of the world here (and various other places online), that I really had no chance of being exposed to otherwise. Learned a lot about various issues that some of the posters here are experts on, or from researching my responses in arguments. It's a decent news source (and by source I mean more like a river source... subjects are presented and you can look it up or skip it from there. Sure beats watching the news). Lots of laughs, intentional or otherwise. Plus, it's fun to argue sometimes. Cathartic even.John Brown did nothing wrong.

Hey, haven't really been here in years, just came by to write a thread on fascism (to which sadly only one person would write a response),yada yada
Why would you, a person who hasn't been here in years, come here and discuss politics? Kick rocks.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Some people have shifted considerably. Imran is one who stands out immediately. I myself have shifted somewhat to the center, although on many issues I still lean left. But by now most of us have settled in what is probably our lifelong position on things.
Still it's fun to discuss current topics, and it can be funny to read what BenK posts sometimes.
Issues like abortion, religion, etc... I hardly even open those threads anymore.I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

How can you read BK's posts if you don't read threads about religion, abortion? Some of his best bits are in those threads.
ACK!Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

There is no left wing here besides me. I am the only left wing person. Everyone took the political compass test some time ago and everyone was an authoritarian fascist compared to me.
So you're all Hitlers as far as I am concerned.Only feebs vote.
