TheStinger, so... you'll let me slip into the UK? I could just do it like the regular people but that's not exciting at all. Let me bribe you. A 1 euro bribe, please?
So anyways. Oh wait, I already posted in this thread. What a waste of time for me, this second post that is.In da butt.

What is your job?
I used to be an analyst.
I am now a project leader of an IT function, and i am a substitute manager because my manager's position is vacant.
i am about to finish the army and go get a B.Sc. in computer software, hopefully with a large peeking into information management and industry-and-management.
What do you actually do at your job?
my current work is also quite interesting, and i can describe it way better.
i run/accompany the life of software systems, some projects partially, and some being my "babies".
i analyze work processes, information flow, information architecture of clients. I design function flow, plan features, and write demands for appropriate software. i design the UI, I accompany development, run the testing of bugs and Q/A. I market the product for end-users, assimilate it, instruct on it, get feedback and write further demands.
as a manager i am "in charge" of two large systems, working with developement and support bodies to ensure operations and to incorporate new features, and being the chief for it representative in my unit. i am also in charge of a small group who does instruction, training, and product assimilation.

You should maybe move to the US, there are many teachers needed.
I have invested heavily in time for the seniority (4th year running) and little entitlement (as part-time as one can be and still have entitlement) that I do have with my school board. Heck, even going to a different school board in the province I reside (Ontario) would reset both my entitlement (hrm) and seniority (yikes) to 0. I also happen to know many and like the communities that my board serves which is further value that requires time to accumulate. I have also invested considerably in additional Ontario teaching qualifications -- 5 completed with a 6th to start within a couple of weeks -- in terms of time (ongoing since last summer) and money ($5400CA+ including my 6th) on top of my basic qualifications (2).
Beyond all that, in going to the US there would also be the serious matter of at least partial re-certification efforts which are often time consuming and costly. Even going to another province in Canada to teach could result in some of this too...PolyCast Co-Host, Owner and Producer: entertaining | informing civ

Student studying chemistry (boring as hell) and a care worker in a secure mental hospital (detained patients; they can't just leave whenever they want to). It's quite interesting, it is giving me plenty of savings and is good experience, even if it can be very mentally draining. You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

I finished my studies (archaeology and after that international relations and conflict management) and am now unemployed. I don't really know yet what I'll be doing next... Luckily, I still have time to get some real working experience

Any way your Finnish you can come in anytime you wantSpace is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

I work for a financial regulator. My job entails improving systems, monitoring risk, analysing data and running projects. Through combining the arts of delegation and talking about what I do in a way that makes it seem much more than it is I spend most of my time on the internet or chatting to my mates. Though I did do quite a lot of work before getting promoted to this role.
I'm not responsible for the credit crunch.
