I agree with those who may say it may help her. It humanizes her more, for one. Secondly, as much as they say (and Obama's says) its a family matter and the more the media talks about it, people are going to feel bad for her. Lastly, and perhaps most important, Bristol choosing life for the child and marrying the husband is the Religious Right's wet dream for a situation like this.(\__/)

I don't see a problem there... she might not be good at conveying family values, but that's not hypocritical. Hypocritical would be having an abortion instead of a child with Down's Syndrome, or having her daughter have a hush-hush abortion.Originally posted by Asher

My mother had me at 17, unmarried. I don't remember the world ending or God smiting anyone.
