won't work. Firefox 3 expanded its "quirks" mode to maintain compatibility with some IE quirks, but this is not a supported feature nor is it even really proper. It's just a necessary evil until people like you get fired and leave the business.
In fact, on Bugzilla there was massive debate whether these kinds of quirks implementations should be removed completely explicitly to prevent people like you from keeping to use them. I have. I had my first paid web design job within about a month of Mosaic being released on Unix, worked professionally in the area for quite some time, and still do it as necessary for my research.
