Super cool function. Highlight the text of a paragraph of a post and drag it around the screen.
Works with images and image/text combinations too.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I haven't read the whole thread yet but this quote from Asher made me spill my beer.
Not two years ago you told us that W3C standards be ****ed, MS was the big player and what whatever they decided were the the facto standards.
And now you are using the same arguments we used against you but didn't persuade you...
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
Once again...
I'll tell you the sky is neon yellow if it'd piss off a European.

Often times, I take other peoples' work and build off of it.
When I see someone who's done the styling in HTML, I call them witless ****head dip**** asscaps, because it makes fixing bugs and modifying and editing things so much more difficult. I despise this almost as much as I get irritated by F-grade code that uses tables for their goddamn layout.
It makes maintenance more difficult.
It makes everything more difficult.
Which is why I often just say "**** it" and re-do the whole damn design in standards-compliant XHTML and CSS.
The point of CSS and HTML is to separate visual layout from content; that way, you can modify content and not muck up the layout much; conversely, you can modify layout and not muck up content.
As far as the "time" thing, it's nice to know that you take pride enough in your work to not care whether it sucks or not.
Wow, really having a go at me aren't you? I'm not sure what DL you are, but you're a bit slow to comprehend my posts.
First of all, taking other people's designs and building off them is a bit low of you if you're a webdesigner, unless of course you need to copy it for a specific reason. (Which I have to do on some occasions too).
You don't need to educate me on CSS, I've been using it for many many years.
I don't take pride in my work, no graphic designer would, all designers hate their own work; if you were one, you should know this.
I am fully aware that CSS is flexible, I never implied that it wasn't, I was implying that IE SUPPORTS other methods that Firefox doesn't, and this is my gripe. On some occasions, I am in a meeting and have to quickly show the clients examples, if I have to code in CSS it takes a little more time than plain IE code. That is why, during meetings, I won't use Firefox, I use IE - hence, MORE flexible, comprehend now?
Btw, looks like Firefox 3 has fixed the problems I was mentioning earlier.
