I must call my brother and ask him what he thinks ... (He's a mildly disabled vet who gets payments from the VA, but was ruled ineligible to get regular (army) disability after his first after-army job: Pizza delivery).

I wonder if Pizza Delivery is considered more stressful than being a congressman...

Spencer, it is interesting that you think someone can claim they're so disabled that they'll never be able to hold a job is a joking matter. If McCain is so disabled that he claims to be "totally disabled" and is unable to hold a job ever then why is he telling the American people that he's "fit as an ox"? He's either lying to the American people or he's lying to the VA but he can't be telling the truth to both.

Honestly, I don't think it should matter. You are essentially punishing disabled folks for going out and getting a job, and making something for themselves, while rewarded disabled folks who choose to do nothing in order to keep their benefits.

I understand the purpose behind it, but so long as the disability is verified, then it shouldn't matter what a person does with their life, they should still receive the benefits, if in fact they are true "disability benefits".

Since McCain has held a job all these decades I'd say he's cheated needy vets out of $2 million.

What's his disability Oerdin? You've neglected to make any mention of such.

5 and a half years as a POW incurring multiple injuries preventing him from remaining in the service. Makes sense to me.
