If you plan on preparing for 2.5 years, then yes. I'd even give you a good deal.

I made the same offer to Kid but he didn't want to wait that long.

People on the fence will, on balance, tend to vote for Obama for two primary reasons:

        1. McCain is just vulnerable. He has flip-flopped on a lot of issues since his last run, and he's pretty damned old.

        2. The realization that if they deny the presidency to Obama -- arguably the whitest black man in American politics -- they can look forward to a future of angry, bitter black men for the rest of their lives.

That second one doesn't really sound like a good reason to vote for him.

Wait... So that "article" (I use the term loosely) is claiming the Decemberists are communists?

                    1. Half-joking, dude. But only half.
                    2. Never said either was a good reason

He needs these people who are voting Hillary to back him or he will lose to McCain.
Hillary was a fellow Democrat, and the Democrats rarely win the rural districts anyways.

As the two polls I posted show, most Hillary supporters will back Obama, meaning he will carry the urban areas, and like any democrat, lose the rural counties.

And that will mean a loss in PA.

Obama's problem isn't in just the rural areas, but in Pittsburgh, Erie and Scranton. He was crushed by Hillary.

                        • Ben, your assumption seems to be that most blue collar Dems will either vote McCain or sit out the election. That's just fundamentally flawed.

                          • In a lot of the polls McCain is doing better among women and Obama is doing better among men. There's no way in hell this is going to happen, even if Obama does lose there's no way this campaign will reverse the traditional gender gap.

Once Clinton supporters start facing the facts you'll see a bit boost in Obama's poll numbers.

                              So?

McCain was annihilated in Utah in the primary. Do you think that he won't win there in the general?

Democrats won Pennsylvania in 2000 and 2004, and both times they won only the urban areas and lost all rural counties.

I will say this the last time: He lost a primary amongst DEMOCRATS to Hillary. He will probably, as the POLLS I POSTED SHOW, win the votes of the mayority of Democrats again in the Urban areas.

So again, do you have any evidence to support your assestion about Pennsylvania?
