If I was in your shoes, I think I'd be proud that people are looking past Keller's disability, and at her as a person.

Recall what Che said awhile ago about people putting constraints on Helen Keller. People have expectations about what disabled people 'should' be like. They had them back in the day, and they still have them today.
I've grown up hearing about Helen Keller, and what a great person she was and how I should be like her since I was 5, JUST because she was deaf and blind. Expectations that were levelled on her were also levelled on me.
I've had well meaning people express shock and amazement, including my own "high school counsellor" that I was successful at school and I had a social life.
This is why it bothers me when someone uses Helen Keller, not because she is my idol, but because someone thinks she is my idol and the fact that she was a socialist should be a reason for me to be a socialist too.
You see what I'm saying?

I wasn't talking about Che. I was talking about when I was younger and growing up.
I have had an advisor all my life who was supposed to work with me. He would give me things that he thought would be helpful.
This was one of those things that he gave me over the course of 12 years of working with him.
