I guess I was wrong. I would vote for Hillary in an election.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
"Hating America is something best left to Mobius. He is an expert Yank hater.
He also hates Texans and Australians, he does diversify." ~ Braindead
This is going to sound like the biggest contradiction possible, but, I consider myself about as close to a Libertarian as possible yet, I will probably be voting for Obama in the following election.
And regardless of the many times that, I have argued with Che on this forum, am totally against Communism as a form of government and probably am 100% opposed to most of Che's political point of views - I WOULD VOTE FOR HIM.
I am fed up and just wanna throw the bums out. I doubt anyone could **** it up any more than what we have now so I am ready for something totally different, even if I am 100% opposed to it in theory.
I know that makes no sense but I am far from alone. It's a unique time in American history in that less than 25% of the people approve of Congress, less than 25% approve of the president, and less than 25% approve of the direction the country is going.
So I, like many others, are just fed up. I feel like that guy from the movie "Network" and his proclamation that has to go down as one of the most cliched lines in cinema history:
I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!
So Che - I would probably even vote for you.
My entire life I hoped Republicans would win (I actually voted Libertarian as a matter of consience knowing they stood no chance) thinking that Republicans stood for less government, less intrusion on personal freedom and less government spending to just name a few issues. That concept seems like a total joke nowadays.
I don't know how many times I have proudly proclaimed that a Democrat was in office every time America went to war in the 20th century and in most cases a Republican was in office when the war ended. Well we know this last one didn't start that way and I doubt it will end that way.
I couldn't even begin to count the number of times I *****ed about Bill Clinton (and rightly so). I couldn't tell you the number of times that I said Carter was the worst president in my lifetime, and he was. Until....
This Bush neo-con crap, that for some unexplainable reason the Dems seem to go along with, has to be the worst management of the country in it's history (and I actually thought long and hard before I decided to write that line). It is definitely a unque combination of power and ineptness.
Just about every bad thing I have ever said about all Democrats combined Bush has managed to accomplish on his own and more. And the Congress that Americans voted in as a protest seems to just go right along with it.
So I am at the point now where I don't care if you are a Communist, Facist, Anarchist or Monarchist (said in half jest because I don't want that to be someone's sig line) I think I'd vote for you. Throw the bum's out!!!
So Che, if you can find a state where they decide to:

So Che, if you can find a state where they decide to:
a) count your votes
and if they do count them
b) count them accurately
I WILL VOTE FOR YOU!!!
You do realize that Obama is probably the most left wing presidential candidate since McGovern, don't you?

I'm considering running for parliament in our next general election. I need a name on my ballot I can vote for.

"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it." - Mark Twain
Who are the people in your logo? The one on the right looks kind of like my memories of Emma Goldman...the one on the left, it's hard to say, since he's facing away from camera, but he looks like Lenin. Please don't tell me you're trying to get elected with a pic of Lenin.
EDIT: Freaky! By odd coincidence, Emma Goldman is today's featured Wikipedia article. But she doesn't look at all like the chick in your logo, and I noticed Rufus says the other one is Eugene V. Debs, so I'm 0/2.
