DQ is like an innocent in my view. Great guy, interested in what he's interested in and that's it. One of his mods starts treating people like crap and there's little control that I can see, though there might be some behind the scene. I like DQ though I don't think he can really step up and shut down abuse, it's just not in him. Good guy though. Wtf he was thinking when Ming was made an admin is beyond me.

Rah is one of my favorites, a really decent guy. I feel for him that he had to spend 9 months in the womb with Ming. I'm wondering if he was actually born or banned from it. To his credit he supports his bro, I wonder if the reverse is true. Not saying it isn't, just wondering. Rah is a guy I could easily call friend. He also does stuff like this thread rather than just turning a flamethrower on everyone and patting himself on the back for it.

Ming...well instead of replaying it all here I'll just say that we don't get along. It's better now but I'll not be turning my back on him anytime soon...which ties into wondering if Rah can rely on him. That's really none of my business though, just what I wonder based on personal experience. Ming is about Ming being Ming and that's really all there is in my view.

Lucutus is interesting. Obviously talented, that talent doesn't extend to dealing with trolls. He gets played easily and comes back tough which just covers him in the same mud. Then people look at him and say, jeez, he's dirty too. The question is, is he? I'm not convinced of that and hope he learns to deal with trolls without getting involved personally. If the troll then pushes him harder to get reaction ...it looks better when the banning occurs. Luc is in the catbird seat but fights in the gutter, which looks really bad.

Solver... I'm adding Solver to the list because I believe he's part of the solution. Though he's never liked the OT I think he's coming to learn more that it can be a good place to be, even if he has other stuff he'll do first. I've always had good dealings with him, though not many. Solver can be reasonable which is better than some.


Apolyton is slowly dieing. That's what needs to be reversed and I see this thread as a positive that could offset the huge negative downside this site has built up over the years. A negativity drain if you will.There's alot of different stories here. Lets get them out and not be afraid of discussion.

Lancer, now that you mention Poly dying again, I'd like to respond to it. You also mentioned it in the forum redesign thread, calling it shuffling chairs on the Titanic.

Despite what you might think, we are not oblivious to what's going on. Certainly no one is denying that our traffic is dropping. But it is a separate issue. Say, we did the forum restructuring because it's a relatively easy-to-do thing to improve the site while not detracting from our other efforts.

We have big enough plans to improve the site dramatically, but not every issue is about that. The forum restructuring or this discussion are things that are probably smaller in scope than that.
