Ming, oh boy we run into ground here, i think at heart hes a decent enough fella, but he makes some diabolical moderation decisions, and either loves the ****fires he starts or is totally incapable of seeing any error on his part ever !
Ive wanted to spark this fella out myself on occasion,( you can label me a coward if it helps ya but i think im big enough to deal with him) and the list of whose threatened me with this and that is a petty tactic to win the high ground. It may be true but it has nothing to do with me ! There simply is no reasoning with this man when he gets into one, it may be a one approach to fit all comers strategy but it sucks bigtime.
I have seen him make many good calls too, and I must say that in honesty, and I believe he cares about this site. Just needs to learn that you reap what you sow.

Locutus, well people say hes a techie or whatever that is, **** im a brickie but i dont piss off as many people as he does. Being an asset to this site as a techie does not mean he has the required skills to moderate, he is an arse, big time, ive seen his performances first hand several times, absolutely zero people skills. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, use Locutus where he is strongest and keep him away from the modding team !

Publicly I have not agreed or dissagreed with this, so the only ones that actually know about my opinion on this are the other owners with whom this incident is being discussed. Among the owners our opinions will remain private to us. I hope you can appreciate why.

Do you think if I made a mistake that all the owners would discuss in in an open forum? But make no mistakes, these types of issues are discussed.

I too wanted a go at Ming once but it would have been man to man if I had any say. Thankfully I couldn't care less or more these days because things have changed. I still wonder why the change.

I also appreciate everyones work on this site.

Maybe we should all step back and count to ten and look what just happened here, besides the stuff with Asher.

This thread really is something we've never had before. Moderation happens here in a vacuum without input from us, ever. So alot of people have made emotional decisions based on the BS through the years and left, that's really too bad because this is a reason to stay! No nasty PMs or high and mighty BS here, just a guy putting himself on the line to communicate and likely catching the high and mighty flak for it himself. Imagine the fun PMs Rah must have for THIS! Show your appreciation by some method other than walking out.

Not going to do it, I would probably get some satisfaction from dredging through it all again but probably an equal amount of stress.

What the site needs is a ruleset that is administered 100%, no free range moderating. Get a set of ban lengths for certain levels of rules breaking and apply them without exception.

When the sentence is served the poster can get back to normality without the additional drama. If the first time dont work go again, then a third, whats that sport you yanks have 3 strikes and your out ?

I know nothing about Asher, except most of you think hes a jerk, some think hes a funny jerk, if he continually poked at me even though id shown him leniancy a few times before id kick his ass so as hed never get back up again (perma ban!)

Asher though means jack**** to me, as LordShiva often puts it WTF is Asher ?

I agree Chris. No need to drag it all out again. The mods know what we are refering too. The good news is that many of the wounds have been healed between the members and by the members.

The bad news continues to be the way the situation was handled and the way people were treated by the site. I daresay that if the modding had been more solution oriented instead of draconian, then there would not have been as many wounds to heal in the first place.

Still...much time has passed and the bad taste may never leave. I have no doubt that the administration of this site will never make any attempt at changing that. It is really sad that I was forced to admit to something I never did in order to satisfy one person's ego.

However, I also agree with what you said earlier...Ming has the site's best interest at heart. While that certainly doesn't make him a great communicator, it is a small concilation.
