No, seriously. It's because you are an ignorant know it all that thinks they know about something because they googled it really quick, and you are trying to tell someone who has actually read books and studied the subject that he is wrong. You aren't worth it. People just waste their time on you.

    • If you want to be taken seriously, the term in question is: "know it all".

It's a word. Now get back out of the way. I wouldn't want you to get hurt by accident.

So you are saying that prejudice based on race isn't racism?

            • Actually, the fact I don't like orange clothes is a prejudice. Prejudice is \n't really the same. Many make it seem that way. I don't like gore movies. It's preference, which is in all minor things. Judging RACEs, racism, is to the extreme Things to the extreme usually to at bad end.

              • Personally I refused to see An Inconvenient Truth, so I can't really judge the artistic value of a Gore movie.

If there is no damage done then what's the point in calling it racism. If you do then you are diminishing racism. Then racism is just being prejudice based on race, and not something which is necessarily damaging to individuals and an entire race of people.

                            • I still don't get what's so damn controversial about this Wright fella. The likes of Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell made no bones about 9/11, Columbia, Katrina, etc. being God's punishment for America's wickedness, and yet I didn't see Bush (or McCain for that matter) getting this extensively grilled for openly associating with them. Why the distinction?
                              Unbelievable!

                                *?

You are still trying to avoid answering the question:

Is prejudice, based on race, racism?

(And the point is to be correct in your use of terms.)

If you do then you are diminishing racism. Then racism is just being prejudice based on race, and not something which is necessarily damaging to individuals and an entire race of people.
Prejudice based on race is the underlying foundation for all actions based on that racial prejudice. Without that racial prejudice (be it individual or systematic) there would be no "racism" in the context you are trying to restrict it to. (Which itself is a valid use of the term. It just isn't the only valid use of the term.)

You want to ignore the cause of what you term "racism" and focus solely on the symptoms. It is you who are trying to weaken the argument against racism by narrowing the definition in an attempt to try to paint whites as racists, and obfuscate the issue of racism by pretending that minorities cannot be racist. Not to mention your entire premise is itself an example of racism.
