I guess explanations of the Others to John are saved for later. We can surmise that the final flashforward (Jack at Locke's casket) is 3 years after they left the island. Could be two, because off-island time is apparently about a year ahead of the island time. Which probably leaves them time to show Others with Locke as their leader next season. It's not like they're going to avoid showing the island anyway.

I thought it was great episode, but I was hoping to hear the others explain the island to John though.
Well the people in the helicoptor didn't see the zodiac after the island dissappeared so you could assume it went with it, BUT watching while it was loading, with the exception of the scientist the rest of the passengers where No Name extras so we will probably never hear about them again.

I hope not, since Daniel is freaking awesome. I'm also hoping against hope that Jin leapt off the freighter before "boom," and managed to swim within the island radius. However, that appears to be impossible, as even the helicopter didn't get that close.

Oh, I wasn't saying it is never going to happen. It was just near the end of the episode Ben said something to John like the others will explain every thing to you, and I was hoping we would see that before the end of the episode. But there is always next session.

I wonder if the island will turn out to be an "Encounter at Farpoint"-like entity.

Hey, at least this time around you can't complain that not enough happened. So I'm fine with that. But since they're only airing next season next year, I dunno how much I'll remember overall. I don't rewatch Lost episodes and there's a lot of stuff to keep track of by now.

This show completely SUCKS AHOY. I can't even name all the inane moments, but moving the island with a frozen wheel is probably number one. Or freezing the bomb. And that statue from earlier with the one toe or whatever. This show is a giant non sequitur. Nothing in it has a shred of credibility or narrative cohesion.
The only reason to watch Lost is to see Jack and his hot stubble, and frankly there's far better gay programming if you're into that ****.

Are you admitting your gay Wiglaf, because you obviously watch the show.

Which shows ust how stupid you are Wiglaf. Freezing the bonb would stop it from going off if that were the only battery in the circuit.
It's called a convenient plot device, and it's a sign of bad writing. You LUNATICS can go on pretending this show is so awesome because it makes so much stuff up that makes no sense, but it is a direct insult to storywriters who actually know what they are doing and don't lie about it for 3 and a half seasons. And, more importantly, when they do come up with a plan, decent writers actually have it make some sense. None of this wheel-spinning, guy who never ages, invisible ghost in a rocking chair, magical healing unicorn island horse crap.
