Didn't they allude to her team contracting some kind of sickness or something like that. Haven't really heard anymore about it, seems the writers have abandoned Rousseau's team story.

Well they haven't mentioned Rousseau's team sickness for the past 3 seasons. And now they killed Rousseau, unless Rousseau pulls a Christian Shepard it doesn't seem likely we will hear anymore about Rousseau's team.

It's too bad. I really liked the Rousseau character. She had just the right amount of toughness and craziness. She should have gotten a flashback episode or two.

Libby was killed off too soon too. I don't believe she ever had a flashback episode either.

I think that's what killed Minkowski, and nearly killed Desmond.

True, didn't think of that. A science team could reasonably have exposure to EM/radiation fields, which faraday said helps to trigger the time traveling thing, while Rousseau would have avoided radiation/em fields because of her pregnancy.

I remember wondering if there really was a sickness, or if Rousseau just went nuts and killed everybody -- Or if the sickness was some sort of transformation into the magical Others, back when they were still mysterious.

That sort of endless speculation is why I like shows that keep opening up more questions. Some folks have been hating on Lost for asking more questions than it answers (like that four-toed statue). But there's a lot more fun in thinking about a mystery, than in know how it all works.

Of course, it has to make sense. X-Files became sheer nonsense after the first few seasons. I think Lost is doing a good job matching revelations with new questions.

And just exactly why do they have to go back? Does Des have to go back too? Why does Locke's corpse have to go back? And how did he get off the island, anyway? Did he move it like Ben did?

Even if Locke is a fool, and a villain, he's my favorite ever.

Such an awesome story. Look back at the Locke of season one, and the one here.

While it opened up new questions, it was quite satisfying to have a lot of questions answered. A good season finale as far as I was concerned.

My only question was, they showed the bomb on the ship. Why didn't they think to just remove the quite obvious antenna so it couldn't receive the detonation? signal.

Or if freezing it actually stopped the power from starting the explosion, they could have simply hacksawed off the terminals from the battery when it was frozen.

They could have done that a lot more sensibly.

But still overall, a good romp.

Quite solid overall. I wonder why Jack, who's obviously dysfunctional and mostly stoned in the future, actually cares enough to go back to the island. Whom did they leave behind, Juliet, Sawyer and possibly Desmond? Jack's usually all about himself...

They got me first with Jeremy Bentham - I was, initially, unsure if I'm supposed to remember the name or not

I assume Desmond is with Penny, Hiding from her father but since they don't know where the island moved to so I doubt they'll be there.

downloading both episodes now, but I'm sure it looks to be ****ing amazing.

Except for the Desmond time jump espisode (which was really cool) they were probably the 2 most satisfying episodes I've every seen.
