It's not that they have to kill everyone who's not in their court. They simply need to take control of the power system that already exists and use it to push their agenda. That's pretty much what they did: switch the old guard with a new one.

They probably won't be. Not if Adama's still alive, that is. Gaeta and Zarek will certainly get the axe, but much of the others might just spend some time in the brig depending on the severity of their actions.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. Maybe they will use Centurions? I could see Roslin getting to the baseship and trying to use Centurions for a rescue missions. Besides, there have to be some marines still loyal to Adama remaining. It would be true BSG-style irony though if Galactica ends up going to hell not because of the Cylons but because of a mutiny.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

Yeah, it'll be a huge challenge staffing Galactica after that. To remedy that, we may be seeing a lot more Sharons and Sixes on Galactica and Cylon ships due to a lack of pilots.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I'm wondering, how much can they teach the centurions. I seem to recall, they gave them free will, which led to the split between the now rebel cylons and Cavill's faction. Did the upgrade also allow them to learn? Running a baseship requires the connection the meaty cylons have, but running a battlestar just requires fingers.
There's going to be a lot less colonials after this is done...I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

Yeah, not necessarily extras, but transfer of Sharons and Sixes. After all, the baseship seems to just need a hybrid and I guess some Centurions.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Well, I'm thinking the loyal Marines, plus Centurions, would be enough to quell the mutiny. Of course it's not like anyone in the fleet would like that too much, but if the mutiny attempt is dealt with strongly and successfully, there will be no future problems. And Centurions are certainly good at dealing with this kind of issue swiftly and effectively. You don't really believe Roslin would just chill on the baseship while Galactica is getting overrun, do you? Centurions are pretty much Roslin's only option for intervention.
I also wonder, who was the Eight that flew Roslin's Raptor at the end?Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

I hope they're all killed by a supernova in the last episode. That'd be an appropriate ending to nBSG, considering its overall atmosphere of fear, hatred, depression and sadness.
Oh, OK, I'll relent a bit: The supernova kills them all except for Starbuck. She'll be in her Raptor, the last human being in the universe. I'm sure she'll handle the stress of that fact just fine.

At the very least most of the remaining civilians that are idle are going to be pressed into service. We saw some of that before and I'm not sure if there are many idle ones left but after the dust is settled, some hard decisions will have to be made with perhaps even ships being abandoned. I've lost track of what ships are actually in the fleet now.
This may be a factor that forces a final settlement for the colonials on a planet.Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief.
