Its a shameful day to the Danish society. The young people were completely let down. The future will condemn this.

Bull**** - they have been offered several times to buy another building, and a fund was actually created to provide the money for it. But this they turned down.

They could have had their house. They chose not to.

But they WANTED that house and just like the spoiled kid that gets a Honda when they wanted a BMW, when they did not get their way . . . they threw a tantrum.

But this tantrum involved property destruction and the police responded

I don't understand the complaint about police action. As I understand it, the rioters were throwing molotov cocktails (potentially lethal)-- In that scenario, could the police not have opened fire? I absolutely do not advocate this but it would be matching force with force

You know what this is? Its GREED. The city council got greedy and the christian sect probably gave them a sweet offer with all the money they have managed to con from their vic...members. So the council sold the youth off to the highes bidder. I'm sure some right wing politicians were secretly very happy to cause trouble to the "hippies" and "freeloaders".

Active youth claiming an abandoned building for their activities has been the common practise around the world since like 1960ties. Only now in this millenia have the attitudes changed in many countries and values got harder. Now everything has to be profitable, there is no free lunch blah blah. Basicly nothing is free.

There is no freedom anymore if you cant afford to pay for it.

Is that the world you want to accept and live in? I dont. I believe some things should be free an provided by the society. Things like the Ungdomshuset here. But what do you care? I guess in England the youth hangs out in the streets boozing and getting pregnant.

Hang on - Kid was saying that he was opposed to the principle of rent, and I was responding to that general statement. Specifically, they've had many many years of freebies and they've run out of luck. If they want to campaign for new 'community centres' or other state facilities then fine, but don't riot in demand for it.

SUre, cops and everyone can go too far and often will. It still doesn't change the vital mission if them. In fact, I thought the police went too far in here, even though it wasn't a violent protest last time. Just few idiots who wanted to throw beer bottles, nothing like this. They totally took the strategy fitting this situation in Copenhagen now, so I never agreed with that.

They are the legit forced arm of the society. If we didn't have them, you think these pussies would be any better? No, they'd be beaten to death after touching the wrong people's property. And these punks don't represent the youth in general, like some would love to claim this domain. They represent themselves plus the symphatizers. And they are the minority.

AND YES, I'm not against even forceful uprising, should the situation be like that. Even rioting, hey, if the situation demands such action.. then that's what one must do. Losing a club house because they never bothered to pay rent? **** that.
