His "Coffee" track on No Cure For Cancer condemns the very things you praised.

I don't think all of those things were good things. The key point is that it was a hang out spot, not a place to grab a cup of coffee and leave from.

Not too many non-canadians would know about timmies, so how could they compare? I really couldnt care what anybody thought of tims. Its what i think of it thats important.

            TH imps are incredibly slow

            and they drink the stuff

            and

they dont seem to have the greatest customer skills

            Starchucks gets my vote

plus TH has no west cost shops
anti steam and proud of it

I hate Timmies (but love their coffee).

That's my favorite local coffee shop. Several hundred different types of coffee and teas to choose from, gorgeous views of La Jolla Cove & the Pacific Ocean, fairly reasonable prices given the expensive location, and all the bagels/muffins/desserts are made next door. To top it off there is free Wi-Fi and the place is near UCSD so it is often filled with nubile co-eds.

They are everywhere here. Even small towns have at least one franchise.

That's nice, Oerdin. Unfortunately, it's no Tim Hortons.

It's better then any Canadian version of Dunkin Doughnuts.

I still can't believe starbucks costs like $4 for a cup of coffee.

I recently drank starbucks for the first time a few weeks ago. I was getting a girl at work a cup, so I got one for myself as well. It was good. But hardly worth $4 (actually about $3.60 I believe).
