I don't think all of those things were good things. The key point is that it was a hang out spot, not a place to grab a cup of coffee and leave from.

Not too many non-canadians would know about timmies, so how could they compare? I really couldnt care what anybody thought of tims. Its what i think of it thats important.Comment

That's my favorite local coffee shop. Several hundred different types of coffee and teas to choose from, gorgeous views of La Jolla Cove & the Pacific Ocean, fairly reasonable prices given the expensive location, and all the bagels/muffins/desserts are made next door. I still can't believe starbucks costs like $4 for a cup of coffee.
I recently drank starbucks for the first time a few weeks ago. I was getting a girl at work a cup, so I got one for myself as well. It was good. But hardly worth $4 (actually about $3.60 I believe).Comment
