well, you can look at it this way:

if you are able to study you come from a 'rich' family, hence you do not need the army to pay for your studies. So you don't end up as easily in the army.

and since we all know how many GOP representative's sons are in Iraq... I think they should just shut up.

oh, and bush is a dumbass

IN OTHER NEWS, FOXNEWS CONTINUES TO PLAY THIS STORY IN THE ABSOLUTE MOST INSANE WAY POSSIBLE!

This story was all over their "news." "Apologize! Appologize! Democrats certainly didn't need this! They're already behind!"

What a crock of ****. People are so ****ing stupid if they believe this.

edit: More: "Does it hurt him to just come out and say 'that's not what I meant, this is what I meant...'" Guest: "Yea, I'm surprised he hasn't done that.."

HE ALREADY ****ING DID THAT! How dumb can you be?

            Breaking News:
            Ford asks Kerry to apologize
            Wednesday, November 01, 2006, at 9:41 a.m.

            By Andy Sher
            Nashville Bureau

MEMPHIS — Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Harold Ford Jr. issued a statement this morning calling on U.S. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., to apologize for comments that Republicans including President Bush contend disparage U.S. troops in Iraq.

“Whatever the intent, Senator Kerry was wrong to say what he said,” Rep. Ford said. “He needs to apologize to our troops.”

But Rep. Ford, who served as an honorary co-chairman of Sen. Kerry’s 2004 failed presidential bid, said that the senator’s “words don’t alter the fact that the stay-the-course strategy pursued by President Bush and supported by Bob Corker isn’t working. We need a new direction in Iraq. I know how hard our troops work, and the sacrifices they make, for our freedoms. They deserve a plan for victory as good as they are, and as senator I intend to see they get one.”

Speaking to students Monday in California, Sen. Kerry urged students to make the most of their educational opportunities, the Los Angeles Times has reported.

“If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq,” Sen. Kerry was quoted saying.

While Sen. Kerry said his remarks were a botched joke, President Bush during a Tuesday campaign swing through Georgia called them “insulting” and “shameful” and demanded an apology to U.S. troops.

Rep. Ford is scheduled to appear with former President Bill Clinton later this morning at a Memphis church for a rally intended to fire up Democratic voters in this Tuesday’s election

Run away run away, a monster was on the loose last night.

Iowa candidate asks Kerry to cancel campaign visit

DES MOINES, Iowa A Democratic Congressional candidate from Iowa is canceling a campaign event later this week with Senator John Kerry.

Brucy Braley says Kerry's recent comments about the Iraq war were inappropriate.

Braley is running against Republican Mike Whalen in Iowa's First District congressional race. It's a contest considered to be one of the most competitive House races in the country.

Braley's decision to distance himself from Kerry came as a furor grew from comments Kerry made about the Iraq War during a campaign stop in California on Monday.

Kerry said if you make the most of your education, you "can do well." The Democrat went on to say that is you don't, (quote) "you get stuck in Iraq."

The remarks prompted sharp criticism from some Republicans, including President Bush and Arizona Senator John McCain.

                Kerry refused to apologize.

"We can't run on Iraq, we can't run on the economy, we can't run on foreign policy, we can't run on morals, we've got corruption scandals, but hey - we can spin part of a remark of a non-candidate out of context!

So in essence you support my OP. This means absolutely nothing wrt undecideds but has an immediate rallying effect on the otherwise demoralized GOP base.

That and the fact that Kerry continues to whine like a little biyatch.

What about the record-setting month of deaths in Iraq that just ended? The nation deserves to know!
