What's really funny about all this is THIS IS ALL THE REPUBLICANS HAVE TO RUN ON THIS ELECTION! Their approval ratings are in the ****ter and this is all they've got with less than a week before the general elections! The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

Yeah, someone on the democratic side should make fun of the level of desperation that it would take to base your entire campaign one on bungled joke by a has-been Democrat candidate."The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists."

I wish this is all they had to talk about in Illinois.
All the negative ads, (equally bad by both sides) is really tiring. I'm good, they're evil, but most of the time it's just they're evil.
So the issues are not important because no one talks about them, unless it's to make someone look like an extremist.
It's gotten so bad here, that the dems end up calling every rep candidate a "BUSH REPUBLICAN" and attack Bush because they got nothing on the candidate except that he supported the president more than they didn't.
SO say desperation if you must, but in Illinois both sides are doing it and it equally disgusts me.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

And this isn't even the first time Kerry has made this type of joke about Bush's intelligence. He bungles the joke once and out of desperation the Republicans jump all over it like...
...nah, Mark Foley jokes are passe. The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

Btw, Kerry's bungling might have a bit to do with his pot calling kettle black considering he has a lower IQ and as low if not lower GPA from Yale than his intended dimwit target."Just puttin on the foil" - Jeff Hanson

Foxnews is dredging up the most psychotically distorted claptrap on this issue. They have LITERALLY been talking about this ALL DAY. They're finding military moms who are fat, ugly and mad, all the Republican Senators they can blow, and they're spinning everything in the process. This is INSANE.
Let this go down in history as the day I got the most mad at Foxnews! Sickening....

This whole thread is garbage. When George Bush mispeaks then Democrats are "mean spirited" to hold him at his word but when Democrats mispeak then the fake outrage comes out "OMG!!! I TOLD YOU THEY HATE SERVICEMEN!!!!!11!!11!".
Oggie is just being his partisan self by starting a thread over such a nonissue. If you look at a copy of John Kerry's speech he was supposed to say "You wind up getting us into Iraq" but Kerry mispoke (he was obviously fumbling with his speech papers and said "you wind up in Iraq". That was in the official speech which was written over a week before this event yet we have the lies of Limbaugh and Fox News trying to spin this into something it isn't.
That just kind of shows how badly off the Republicans are. They have so little to run on that they're desperately and pathetically trying to make a mountain out of a complete nonissue. This is just supposed to distract us from the boondoggle in Iraq? The fact that this was the most corrupt Congress in the last 120 years if not the whole history of the country? That they've spent like no Congress has ever before and that most of the benifets have gone to wealthy individuals and corporations which gave money to Republicans? That we still don't have quality health care for all Americans and that the Republicans continue to underfund education and slash student loans & student aid?Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

He will have to apologise at some point; his insisting that he's been misunderstood just doesn't ring true with a whole lot of people. And when he does finally apologise, he will of course have committed political suicide on a national level, by admitting that he lied up until the admission.
The big question is, will he be able to weasel out of issuing an apology until Election Day?
Like I said, what a disaster this man is. This is priceless.
