Actually, the black cylon (what model is he?) said even the metal cylons were infected, though I thought they totally lacked any biological elements. EDIT: Nevermind, they do now. Human-Cylon War era ones didn't and they're gone now presumably.

What I don't get about this whole virus nonsense is this: If this is a biological agent infecting physical bodies, how can it possibly reach a resurrection ship? It's like saying Caprica 6 brought the radiation back with her from the nuked Caprica or Galactica Sharon brought the bullet back with her.

I think it affects the code. Sharon Athena was talking about the code being corrupted when trying to tap into the computers on the 'sick' basestar.

I guess that makes it a little clearer:

Virus infects the core (which is a podperson as we saw last episode), core gets all wonky and makes bad code, bad code gets downloaded into uninfected Cymans (TM you read it here first ), Cymans get themselves killed and sent to the nearest resship, bad code spreads to new core, wash rise repeat.

He was saying that their raiders,transports,etc were infected. those all have biological components. and way back in the mini-series six said the original machines existed.

I believe they said the Centurions were also affected by the virus.

have we seen those opened up? they might have biological stuff inside like the raiders. that would make sense if the res process only works for biological components and they want their stuff to retain experience.
