No, it's much easier to assassinate any candidates who aren't wholly owned by the USSR.

    • And how do you force voters to vote for "Soviet owned candidates" against their will?

The oil boom won't stop until either:

        1. The return of sanity and a sense of understanding that fossile fuels are limited and that we all share one world, wich we better not mess up.

        OR

        2. World War III taking place during the middle of the 21st century (as a result of shrinking oil reserves) and pushing humanity into the 2nd Dark Age (or is it the 3rd does the greek darke age count?)

If this dosen't happen oil prices will be high ( even if some people decide its too expensive and shearch for alternatives; it will take too long ) and the Russian goverment will be saying Chaa-Ching (and quoting cIV in the proces).
I'm not buying BtS until Firaxis impliments the "contiguous cultural border negates colony tax" concept.

When only the approved candidate is left he simply votes for himself, and wins 1-0.

          • So, the only people who voted for the new parliament were candidates themselves and Soviets had no real support in Baltic states, right?

                  • However, I can't see how he could count the votes in foreign countries.

We're only talking about votes within parliament. Only a few officers "watching" the vote would be needed.

How could you be in Russia and not heard of elections with only one candidate in the running?

It's an insult to people like Che and Spiffor to call Stalin a Communist.

Re-read the wikish!ttia's article. Their entire parliaments were re-elected and pro-Soviet candidates got a majority. So, no officers "watching" the vote in parliament were needed.

                            Really?!?
                            No sh!t, dude.

He was more of a communist, then the rest of the ever existed and still existing commies combined.
