KH- as Vel pointed out, attempts at humor often rely on exaggeration and are not meant to be taken entirely literally. But I'm sorry that I expected you to be able to put those two things together
"Mal nommer les choses, c'est accroître le malheur du monde" - Camus (thanks Davout)
"I thought you must be dead ..." he said simply. "So did I for a while," said Ford, "and then I decided I was a lemon for a couple of weeks. A kept myself amused all that time jumping in and out of a gin and tonic."
a) admit that you misused the word "elocution" because you wanted to look edumuhcated or
b) want to defend your use of that word in this context
c) want to avoid the issue
No actually speak is equivalent to write in the net world. It just proves I'm l33t and you most definitely are not.

I'm sorry, but who defined it a satire or is that simply the only explanation you can possibly comprehend. Perhaps it was mockery of the anit-illegal immigrant cause or do you have intimate knowledge of the authors intent. Your ignorant racist uncle perhaps?
He defined it as such, second post

Just because Kaak posted the OP...no...that doesn't mean he's a Xenophobe.
And IF you agree, then one has to wonder why you called him one.
You "called him a coward and a xenophobe" after all.....

Ah, so it was a parody of a satire which did not actually exist?
Perhaps everything I've posted so far is a parody of librul anti-muhrcan traitors.
WHO'S TO SAY!!!!
or do you have intimate knowledge of the authors intent. Your ignorant racist uncle perhaps?
This would really hurt, if I didn't already think he was an ignorant racist.
This would really hurt, if I didn't already think he was an ignorant racist.
What should hurt is that the ignorance is unfortunately a gentic trait.

If you stuck to the word "speech" I would have let it go, of course. "Elocution" refers specifically to those aspects of public speech which are not transmissible through writing.
If you're going to use a fancy, specific word then make sure it's specific in an appropriate manner.
The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree...Or the tree's brother i suppose. Two completely different forms of ignorance in one family.
I guess your Racist uncle might explain why you are a little over sensitive about this. You know, you really don't have to compensate for him.

actually...his usage fits the second definition...Damn those words with multiple definitions, huh KH?

So....either posting the OP means that you are a Xenophobe....in which case, we now know KH is a racist
(because if it's true for Kaak, then it must also be true for KH's racist joke)
Or....posting the OP does NOT mean that you're a Xenophobe, in which case, we now know that KH is a humorless, whiny PC *****
(because my initial post hit a little too close to home, and had to be "responded to")

And heres a stretch for you, my little minded friend, the choice of that particular vernacular was to imply the hidden nuances of the written word in a manner equivalent to gestures and body language associated with public speech.
But perhaps that is a bit too sophisticated a concept for you to grasp.
I'll stick to smaller sentences and words for you going forward.
O......K.....

Actually, ignorance is even further removed from genetics than is "intelligence" or "stupidity".
In most cases that would appear to be true. MOST cases!! There are obvious exceptions as well noted here.
