I guess there is nothing "special" about the whole dying part, especially when innocent people have been put to death.
You're up in arms over killing people, so should we put to death the people who wrongfully killed innocent prisoners? That's okay with you? What's so okay about THAT, just because the state does it?
Uh, duh, these stats have been around for years. And you're incorrect, the death penatly is even more racist than the overall system itself. But then again, you just admitted it's a racist system and you do support it.
You would take this same point of view for any other case that has shown the defendent to be guilty. And that's your whole problem.
It's only much later that we find out they are innocent.
But then it's too late.
just because more black people die than white people doesn't make it racist.
It just so happens black people committ more crimes than white people.
Ted, do you have any statistics as to whether a higher percentage of blacks then whites are executed for similar types of murders? That would be the relevant statistic here.

OMG, they sentenced a Martian to death. Now that's hardly fair.
Oh, and that table proves nothing.
Criminal.
Yeah, it only comes from the NAACP, who thinks it's a problem.
But who are they to be experts on these matters, you know, only being the backbone of the civil rights movement and training irrelevent people like Rosa Parks to fight oppresion.
This sounds like the same argument for the whole "worst of the worst" crap we kept hearing about Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib.
Cept later we found out it wasn't really the worst of the worst.
Where did those some of those idiots at Abu Ghraib used to work before they went to Iraq?
That's right, the US prison system.
It's all interrelated.
Shoot everybody I say, who cares if they are innocent or not.

No, Ted Striker. The point is you claimed the death penalty is being applied in a racially unfair manner. You have yet to show us how this is the case. Posting a set of tables of the relative proportion of different 'races' (of which 'Latino/Latina' is not one BTW) currently on death row and keeping warm in the pits of a very unpleasant place indeed is not going to cut it.
Don't get your hopes up, if anyone had managed to credibly demonstrate that the death penalty was being applied unfairly, it would of course have been overturned by the courts. You know, like what happened in the SCOTUS case of Furman vs. Georgia in 1972. Ring a bell? Well, it hasn't happened - which goes to show that once again you're just bullsh*tting on this.

They do in the US, and certainly to Californians, whose state I believe this issue pertains to. Most Californians would laugh at you for proposing that.

It's not my fault you can't do the math.

Yep.
I should defer to the Danish contingent however when speaking of personal matters I encounter on a daily basis though.
