That he seems to lack a bit of the radiance of peacefulness and positivity I normally associate with other nominees, and that the guy who nominated him is in all likelihood a first class loony.
Further that, as I indicated earlier, the mere nomination of a guy for such a prestigious award says nothing about him. It is not the prize committee that nominates people, as appleciders seemed to imply (bottom of page 1), anyone can do it.
Would you like me to nominate you?
Edit: Oops, mistook appleciders for ajbeera there.

Tookie Williams helped negotiate peace between the Bloods and the Crips. He is presently doing work to help combat gang influence through his book writing. Moreover, it is likely if he is executed that it will lead to violence in the streets and in the prisons as people try to take revenge.
So we let the threat mob violence dictate our justice system!
Also, Crip gang membership has increased and become nationwide during Williams' imprisonment.

True. Everyone knows Noble Peace Prize winners look like this:

The Death Penalty is no more "racist" than the justice system in general. Sorry the statistics support this.
Have you even looked at the statistics or are you just repeating talking points?
And yes, any other murder case is irrelevant to Williams case. He murdered four people and he is being punished for it.
Sorry. You lose.
A justice system so blatantly racist shouldn't have the right to sentence people to die. That being said I don't think people should get off death row just because they are the 1000th execution or because they wrote some books.

can you prove the justice system is racist with regards to capital punishment. It may have been in the past. But with the advent of DNA evidence, I do not believe this is the case.
And that's the only reason I've been against the death penalty, is because of false imprisonment. But with DNA evidence, this doesn't have to be the case.

But that's my point. The justice system is not racist. People interpret the statistics and come to the conclusion that it is racist.
If I were to go out and shoot four people, if convicted in Illinois, I could receive the death penalty.
I'm white.
Nothing racist about it.
There are other factors involved here...
Yes, when you look at statistics and you have an agenda, you can come up with any conclusion you want. But reality is not so simple as some would like it to be.
