    We are all sinners. We all need Christ's forgiveness. As I stated above, even those rich in good deeds need forgiveness. No one is perfect. Christ has shown us the way to obtain that forgiveness- faith in Him. Thats all it takes. Its so easy, and its the challenge He gives to every man. Faith that Christ was crucified to pay for your own sins, then died, and then rose again on the third day in victory.

            Liberal apostate Christianity has nothing to do with the truth. Chances are your liberal pastor promotes sexual immorality as OK- all of this is evidence hes fake believer. The true believers do not promote sin. The scripture claims to be the word of God, to deny it is to blaspheme God's countenance.

            15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.               THE SWORD OF THE LORD AND OF GIDEON!

              18 When I blow the trumpet, I and all who are with me, then you also blow the trumpets on every side of the whole camp, and say, 'The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!' " 19 So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the outpost of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just as they had posted the watch; and they blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers that were in their hands. 20 Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers--they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing--and they cried, "The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!" 21 And every man stood in his place all around the camp; and the whole army ran and cried out and fled. 22 When the three hundred blew the trumpets, the Lord set every man's sword against his companion throughout the whole camp; and the army fled to Beth Acacia, F19 toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel Meholah, by Tabbath. (Judges 7)

              13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6)

              Notice that Judges 7 is a prophecy of Ephesians 6. With the sword they blew the trumpet, symbolizing the proclamation of the gospel by voice.

                    Theology degrees have nothing to do with being among the elect. The apostates in the Roman Catholic Harlot also have theology degrees. John the Baptist, on the other hand, had no theology degree.

                    Theology degrees just show that you have alot of knowledge. Believers and unbelievers both have alot of knowledge, its just a matter of the presuppositions they hold and how their beliefs inform their knowledge. The elect will have the appropriate presuppositions.

                      And if you look at the passage in judges even more deeply notice they use two possessives. The Sword of the LORD AND of Gideon. For the book was speaking in a mystery. Those who do not have eyes to see will gloss over this and think the sword refers both to the Lord and Gideon. But acutally the sword of Gideon is the physical sword, while the Sword of the Lord is the trumpet that caused the enemy army to flee, which symbolizes that in the future God would defeat His enemies by the proclamation of the gospel to the ends of the earth and the loud proclamation of His Holy Word-which is the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT- THE WORD OF GOD.

                          • Let Apolyton vote me out then. It will hardly be any worse than the beheading of John the Baptist, the persecution and stoning of the prophets, or the crucifixion of their Lord. What a small price to pay in comparison to what they accomplished.

                              We need only look at Jerusalem. A mere biblical generation (40 years) after the Jews crucified their King, a mighty firebomb and a mighty army lead by Rome came and massacred their city, totally destroying the temple and all of the other elements of the Old Testament and Old Covenant. It was the judgment of God upon those who rejected Him, and the transition from the Old Covenant centered in Jerusalem, to the New Covenant centered in the Messiah Christ Jesus.

                              The wrath of God descends upon the children of unbelief, who will live their lives in crazed stupor- blind and in the darkness of idolatry, ever prone to plagues, curses, diseases, and darknesses as all pagan lands have been.
