How about not letting adults out, between 18 and 28? I'm sure they are more dangerous, ESPECIALLY at night.

Negativity towards cops as persons, or negativity towards individual cops who are abusive and suffer from a super ego when they wear their uniform?

        Really?

Now I must admit that I don't know what the hell a meeting of the OAS is, but it sounded like some type of gathering of people or some other situation that required hightened security.

I don't know. Someone higher up made the choice to have a higher security level. Maybe they got a tip or they have had violent protests in Che city before or they were expecting a high turnout. I'm not priviliged to that info. All I know (or all I percieve) is the the area was crawling with cops because some told them to be on high alert.

Well, if it is what I stated above (I googled it, and they had a banner with Ft Lauderdale June5-7 behind a speaker ) then they would have heightened security. Especially after all the WTO stuff that's been going on lately. I can understand officers attempting to prevent the riff-raff from rioting or violently protesting, if that's the case. Che is a scruffy guy, from whatI recall, maybe he had some molotov cocktails in that backpack.

. . . unwittingly stumbling onto a meeting that was going on down the street doesn't sound to me like he approached any roadblock, blockades, etc. It sounds to be like che, although he posed no real or apparent threat, was passing by when he was pounced upon by overzelous police.

                      • You guys are a bunch of *******s.

                        Perhaps.

I'm a cop. You hate me? Why? We're just trying to do our ****ing jobs without getting killed. And then we have to put up with **** heads like you guys.

Well, when your job description seems to be "beat up on and hassle left-wing protest groups, whilst allowing establishment gatherings to proceed unmolested (like the tory protest in Britain a few years back), some of us might be a bit less than convinced of the neutrality of the police. Or, when, say, the police chief of Toronto, is a notorious right wing bigot who abuses his position to discriminate against those who don't share his social or political beliefs.

90% of you *******s are so wrapped up in your own **** that you have no idea of what its like on the other side. All were trying to do is keep people safe, including ourselves.

I've no doubt that most cops feel this way. It doesn't seem to stop the racial profiling or hassling of those with radical political opinions, though does it? When being black in a public place means getting hassled by the police it doesn't look good.

Okay... sorry about the language, and the insults. We are human too and we need to vent sometimes too.

That's pretty funny from someone who wants our lives run by the state.
