This one I never got, actually. How the hell does making ape noises at players with darker skin is racist? I've acually heard ape noises made at players of all ethnicities.

Because it is basically saying that black players are apes, black stupid primates. Calling a black person an 'ape' is asserting their inferiority as human beings.

But it is especially worse for black players... cause apes usually are on the darkish side. Frankly, I think it is one of the worst racial slur you can use against a black person. Only '******' is worse, IMO (at least in the US).

I guess you could say that this offensive in america to black people, because of black people being second class citizens, and slaves, and therefor being considered only "slightly human", but this kind of history isn't universal.

I've seen those noises done to people of decidedly non-african descent.. like people from the indian subcontinent.

It doesn't make any sense.... ( racism seldom does, though )
