Overrated? You'd LOVE to have him on your squad... admit it.
Oh, and USA-Mexico just started in Azteca. The US is looking for its first victory in Mexico City, while the Mexicans try to save face after losing the last few times to the US teams. It is quickly becoming one of the best international rivalries in the world.

You say Beckham was **** but he was running all over, tracking back a lot, his freekicks were troubling their keeper at times, I wouldnt say he had a bad game, thats just all he ever does for us.
If a forward like Shearer were playing, Beckham would have been a lot more use. He's an excellent crosser and is at his most effective when crossing to players who are good in the air.
Neither Owen or Rooney could be described as that. Dyer was more effective in open play than Beckham since he did just what Rooney had been doing (running their left back ragged).
Beckham is the right guy in the wrong team.Only feebs vote.

Ouch... that sucked... though as long as Mexico still can't beat us outside of Azteca, I'll take it
Kind of amusing anecdote I heard. The US National Team offered to play the US leg of the qualifying matchup in Los Angeles (basically making it a second home game for Mexico) if the Mexicans held their leg OUTSIDE of Azteca (and closer to ground level). The Mexicans said no... so now the next game between the two is in Columbus, OH.

Oh, and the funny thing on Bigsoccer.com, Americans commenting on the game are saying Bruce Arena (our national team manager) needs to use common sense and was dumb, etc, etc... kicking him under the curb, when it was because of him that we did so well after our collaspe in WC 98. I guess it's REALLY what have you done for me lately, eh?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Kind of like a Pakistani who was born in Britain. You'd want him to back Britain instead of Pakistan is crickit, wouldn't you?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. My grandfather was Polish but I dont support Poland when England play them. Maybe its these mini-Pakistan inside England communities they create for themselves they never get into our culture or whatever, obviously racism plays a part in that too. A few do support England only of course too.Call to Power 2: Apolyton Edition - download the latest version (12th June 2011)

Yep, and therefore, Az's comments make sense. Mexicans who are American citizens or were born here should back the US over Mexico. Maybe it is because of our lack of soccer history which has pushed them over to back another country over their home country. We need to get their kids on our side, though.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.
