Granted, I can see you just played the odds, but I thought you might have remembered my allegiance from the College Football thread all season long. The better parts of Birmingham ("Over the Mountain") are getting less crimson everyday.

JohnT, how can I keep salt from clogging up in the shaker during humid weather (which is most of the time in Shanghai)?

I tried placing a couple of toothpicks in with the salt, didn't work.

Get her something you'll both enjoy.

Like a 54 inch plasma screen TV.

Or a maid service.

If you want to show that you actually put some thought into it (as opposed to the usual cliche gifts like... spas, flowers, and jewelry ), get a piece of paper, divide it up into 10 squares, and in each square, write out a coupon good for... whatever. A house cleaning. A 15-minute massage. That chore that she always bugs you to do because you won't do it until she bugs you (and you know you have them - we all do).

Bonus: it's cheap. Problem: it's cheap. That can be an issue for some women.

We have a fairly new 54 inch TV . .. its not plasma but there is no way we will ipgrade until it dies.

Maid service is something I have thought of but it has the problem of "not being a gift for her"-- She will say that a clean house is something we BOTH want and we both should work at.

Sorry to be cliche but she does like that stuff-- The coupon idea is ok but if its stuff I should be doing anyway??? . . . Big trouble!!!

AS for cheapness, I don't mind spending a few bucks ( spas are not cheap !!!!) but I want to find something different and not waste money. If I wanted to waste money I could easily get her a Louis Vutton bag. She drools whenever she sees them. I don't understand it . .. Its a bag made of canvas or something but say its Louis Vutton and suddenly its worth a small mint. Does any guy understand this??
