Egyptian troops return from Cuba and Mexico
Cargo masters and dock workers notice numerous folding chairs with the troops personal baggage. They make a quick, and hopefuly peaceful, stop in Mexico to pick up our observers. We invite President Juan Kerry to come with us. This is not an invitation to set up a government in exile. We invite the factions to come to Cairo, at Egypt’s expense, to try and create a coalition government or at least settle some issues. Egypt will recognize any government that results.


At the United Nations
King Farouk asks for a pledge from the Warsaw and NATO alliances that they will not resort to nuclear attacks over the unfortunate situation in Yugoslavia. Both side showed great wisdom during their last visit. Egypt is confident that a solution can be found if both sides would sit down. NOTICE there may be another peace conference going on at the same time; please be sure to attend the correct one.

At the United Nations
The United States of America, will agree not to use nuclear weapons against the Soviet Union, as long as the Soviets are not to use nuclear weapons as well.

Withdraw from Yugoslavia or we will be obligated to declare war. Yugoslavia is a sovereign nation, with the right and duty to form treaties at her own imperative. Yugoslavia is a voluntary and full member of NATO, so our charter demands that your unwelcome and ulawful military invasion must be ceased immediately, and all troops, forces and equipment not specifically authorized by the Yugoslavian government must be withdrawn from their sovereign lands immediately. In 8 hours our councils will meet again to discuss war proceedings, and the primary determinent of whether or not a state of war will exist between us will be the positions and movements of your troops.

Egypt Orders

Egypt seeks oil partnership with Finland
In an effort to increase oil production and exports the Egypt National Oil Company begins exploration in the Sinai and Western Deserts. With Finland awash in money after the final reparations payment it is hoped that they will be a large investors. With no oil reserves of their own, stock in the Egyptian National Oil Company will be especially valuable.

But in a good way With work on the Dam and roads moving smoothly Egypt puts a great deal of effort into schools and hospitals, especially in rural areas. The urban centers will benefit from a program to encourage business growth through loans and tax breaks. DDR

Soviet leadership abandons contact to DDR and other Eastern Block countries... Government clueless, not knowing what to do.

Since the day Moskva proposed the Committern, no response has been given to Eastern German diplomats and party-functionaries.
Since the whole governmental structure of the DDR is built on direct orders from the USSR, the political system becomes unstable... If no word is recieved within the next days, the DDR won´t be able to keep the heteronomous organization and thus will have to follow the Yugoslavian example of an independent socialist country...

ORDERS
Unless Soviet response arrives within a few days, the DDR will stay neutral in any conflict.
Keep the population busy with useless prestige projects like the construction of giant statues of Lenin and Marx, rebuilding of destroyed towns and restructuring of agricultural organization.

We will not allow Yugoslavian entrty into NATO as you would not allow French entry into the Warsaw Pact and the Committern. Your choice, cut the rebel government of Yugoslavia loose or face total war with our nations facing off between each other.
