We are glad and excited to hear from our glorious eastern brothers such wonderful news. Of course we will join whatever you propose, though we have a question to ask:
The Committern, is it something like the ComIntern or the ComInform? If yes, why do we need it then? The ComIntern has been abolished by yourself in 1943... Why this sudden change of mind? Isn´t the ComInform enough?
Please don´t take us wrong, we will happily serve the Communist cause in a socialist manner, we just need more information to print in our free state-owned media...

Egypt Invites the world to participate

Egypt to host international race
Egypt is working hard to modernize, but progress is slow. We are proud of what we have been able to accomplish on our own, but we would appreciate help from any nation that would like to lend a hand to the developing nations of the oil rich Middle East.

To bring The Farouk King Dam Project to the attention of the worlds nations who have not yet heard of it, Egypt will hold an off-road race along the length of the Nile. Roads have been being built but they are still unfinished.

All nations, corporations, organizations and individuals are invited to enter. Teams will consist of a driver and a navigator only, but there is no limit on the price or modifications to any of the vehicles. Entrance fee is only $1000, the prize is $100,000, but most will enter just for the prestige and worldwide acclaim that a victory will bring.

DDR to Egypt

An offroad race, hm? (Why do you build roads btw, if it´s supposed to be offroad anyways )
Here in the DDR all cars are excellent offroaders because we lack real streets yet, so we should be able to participate if the picturesque old rust-heaps survive transportation, that is.
However, in order to wire the starting fee, Egypt has yet to acknowledge the DDR as a souvereign country, otherwise our money is completely worthless to you...

Just to make that one clear: The DDR of the real world had only been acknowledged by the Eastern Block and some Island states, that´s why it had such economic problems...

Egypt to the sovereign nation of DDR

Its just terrible how some people treat other countries. To Egypt every country is a sovereign nation. No auto race could have any self respect if the brilliant German people did not participate.

As for the state of our roads, some day they will be as smooth and wide as the autobahn, but for now they are simple rough trails suitable to only the heavy equipment that are making thier way south to begin work on the greatest engineering project in the world.

A project, that like our race, would benefit from the help of the brilliant German people.

The President of the United States of America has just suffered a heart attack. The reason is still unknown, but many are quick to blame the heart attack on the amount of stress that has been put on the President. The former Vice President, now President has already begun to form new policies.

Deliver a public apology for the lives lost in Cuba, on the former President's behalf. Also, tell the American people it will never happen again.
Very secretly try to encourage the angry Mexican locals to rebel against their cruel oppressors.
These will be the last funds for our spies in Cuba for a while, for the rest is up to them. Once we get all or most spies high into the government, then I will plan accordingly, until then, getting high up in power is the only task.
With now the best intelligence agency in the world, the United States will look into the leak of information. We can also better help the Korean rebels, with our new information. Two projects should be in the works as of now. One is the assassination of the leader of North Korea, and the other is a bombing of the Communist HQ. These are both big tasks, so the CIA is working their butt off to make sure the rebels can pull it off. To divert attention, we will fake the death of the leader of the Korean rebels, and make it seem like the rebels have given up. Once the Communists put their guard down, the rebels will strike.

My condolences to the President's family and the American people. I’m sure he will always be remembered for the peace he left the world at Cairo. We are happy to join the FPP and look forward to the opportunities it will bring. We have decided to waive the entry fee, so that more countries will be able to participate in our race. Discounts on our oil exports are fair compensation for American heavy machinery. Your generous aid will be recognized not just by our Arab neighbors but also by developing nations everywhere.

Egypt orders part I - international

King Farouk presents Castro with the Nuut al-Waagib al-Askarii
“This medal is presented on behalf of the people of Egypt to the President of Cuba to honor his stalwart defense in the face of impossible odds”. The military uses its time in Cuba well, as does the secret police. Professional ties are promoted between Cuban military and intelligence officials. This relationship will expand both countries network of intelligence. The military hopes to learn what it can about Cuba’s recent guerilla war. What tactics worked, what American counter measures where effective, how was control maintained within guerilla units.

Friendship with Mexico strengthened
An officer exchange program is proposed with Mexico. Some of our best officers will hopefully be allowed to observe Mexican units to learn the techniques of counter insurgency. Our unrest is not as outspoken yet, but Mexico’s officers will have the opportunity to learn peaceful crowd control that may diffuse some of their own problems, there is also the opportunity for a great deal of international contact.

Egyptian treasures to tour Finland
Some of our national treasures are offered to tour Finland’s national galleries to promote cultural exchange. “We have set a great example to the world, in Cuba. Two neutral nations have helped bring peace to a world on the brink of war. The Soviet Union has announced that we shall continue to keep the remaining units of the Red Army in Cuba in Cuba for the forseeable future due to the distressing intellgince questions the Egyptian capitalists are asking our socialist breathren. We ask the President of the United States to support this as this will prevent futher degredation of Cuban stability that was almost destoyred due to the American invasion of the island

Egypt orders part II - domestic

The King gives unification speech
“Egypt stands at the dawn of a new age. Record numbers of people are finding work, investments and goods are flowing into our nation in unprecedented quantities. We are respected throughout the world. Egypt’s true citizens rejoice at this golden age, but for some this growing prosperity conjures greed and resentment.

A tiny group of discontents say they want freedom. What freedoms do they lack? They say they want rights. What rights are they denied? The freedom they want is the freedom to take what we have worked so hard to build, the right they want is the right to dictate to your government.

I say to them if they want what is best for Egypt then let them work like so many straining every muscle to build the dam that will bring electricity to the poor. Let them spend months away from family in Cuba bringing respect to Egypt and peace to the world. Let them have a taste of real work and see the benefit of productive labor on this country. For some action means lounging in bathhouses talking of revolution, but for the rest of us we are proud to do our part for our families and our future.”

Military expanded
With Egypt’s growing international presence the armed forces need to be expanded. With moral the highest it has ever been, it is hoped that the recruitment drive will result in higher quality applicants and thus result in an improvement in quality as well as quantity. Those found to be ineligible will be asked to join the dam or road project teams.

Secret police continue counter insurgency
A phony democratic movement is set up to help infiltrate and investigate rebels and anti-monarchists. It is hoped that our agents will make contact with other underground movements and develop information on who is leading and funding these rebels. It is also hoped that this sting will help cut down on the number of prank calls to the the secret police complaint line.
