ORDERS: (secret) We are to officially comply with the Cairo Accord. What is the progress of our spy? Has he reached anywhere in the Communist party yet?

Since the war has ended in Cuba, and all the money that went towards it and the search for communist leaders is not being spent on it anymore, more money is now going to be spent on other CIA things. 1/2 of the money should go to the Korean rebels, and the other on things like information on communist countries.

Acording to the stats only the USA and USSR have nukes. The big problem is verifying any disarmament. Maybe a lottery to select from a pool of neutral nations.

Hmm... I hadn't realized that. Well, the offer still goes for Soviet Union. It will be very telling if they accept or decline.

In light of the attempts of the USA to destroy our form of government, invading our brother nation of Cuba and trying to destroy the worldwide revolution to come, we cannot allow our defences to be lowered at all.

We have no assurances that the USA will reduce their nuclear stockpile while we are forced to reduce ours. While we gaurantee that we will not increase them unless the Western powers of NATO do we cannot commit to any disarmament in the foreseeable future.

Egypt could always verify that both of are stockpiles are reduced.

Thank you Mr. President,

Egypt would be happy to do what ever it can to promote peace and ease tentions, but this task is beyond us alone. Rather than start with reduction, maybe a non-proliferation agreement would be a better place to begin. Simply freezing stockpiles at their current levels and agree not to export any.

As the Soviet leadership has stated in the past we cannot accept anything that prevents our defence. After all the USA could give nuclear weapons to another nation without us knowing it and then what could we do.

Sorry but a freezing in Soviet stiockpiling unless the US makes more is all that I will accept.

Mexico daily tidings

After a long absence and a lot of protesting, Mexico has decided to lift her embargo against the United States.
Mexico has begun a massive militarization campaign focused on defense and border fortification. All people entering and leaving Mexico go through a very strict screening process, to ensure safety.
Much of the power and resources of the Mexican government are being temporarily given over to the central govt., until it is again deemed safe to do so. Mexico has also declared a state of martial law.
The Mexican government has also temporarily taken over the means of production, so as to temporarily increase efficiency. The majority of the able bodied are being recruited into the Mexican Military, and are quickly being turned into fine physical specimens, ready for combat at any moment.
Those who have not been enlisted in the military, and are too poor or homeless to present a profit to Mexico, have been relocated into employment camps. There they enjoy working day after day performing the manual labor that must be done to keep mother Mexico afloat. They are paid with a place to stay, and food to eat.
Scholars and the more brainy types have been relocates to learning centers and think tanks, where they learn an help to invent and study for the Mexican Empire.
Things are picking up in Mexico, and prosperity is hopefully just around the corner with the new reforms put in place by Newly elected Mexican leader Cheech Marin.

DDR

With the past tensions between the glorious brother to the east, the Soviet Union, and the evil capitalist oppressor state to the West, the USA, the DDR government has decided to fortify its border to the west. More military is needed to guard the border at maximum efficiency, and the planned fortification efforts will employ more people in the building sector.

Meanwhile, the rebuilding of the greater cities continues. With these beautiful DDR-girls collecting bricks from the ruins, who would not want to help?

I'll try to make an ideology map. It'll be pretty much what you'd expect--Communist Bloc, NATO, unaligned.

as for your stats, the USSR started out with a much larger secret police force, and it is much easier with their ideology to have brutal and effective methods. Your funding will have an effect.

I guess this would be a good time to remind everyone to look at MY stats for changes (which for me are on the second page), not NM’s opening post, which are the original stats.
