Order for Australia (don't feel like writing a story this week):

Build more navy combat ships (even though public doesn't see need for them )
Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.

            Presidents new years speech

On his speech he made yesterday morning, President Paasikivi made out, that the re-building after three wars Finland has met, should continue. "We don't fall by the huge work we have in front of us. We have to raise our nation back to other nations." President sees the upcoming Olympics gave to Finland as a possibility to show diligence of the finns.
He also stated, that Finland will have neutrality policy in the political situation called "the Cold War". By this Paasikivi tries to privent an other war against (or with?) USSR.

President Paasikivi says, that finns shouldn't give up the re-building.

Orders: Improve houses and schools. Build a Olympic Stadium.

Canada responds to Poloxia's absurd claims by giving a hearty laugh, in unison, and a single derisive-snort-accompanied-by-a-counter-clockwise-rolling-of-the-eyes for Poloxia's silly little oppressive government. Clearly Poles in Canada are not used for any sort of slave labor, dish-washing or otherwise. Families have individual mechanical dish-washers that are far more efficient than any collectivised dish-washing program. Simply wash however many of your own dishes that you need to. No logistical distribution and transportation problems here!
However, although Canada will not say so (collectively), it is secretly unhappy about their dishwashers, because they are all American-made and damn expensive.

In unrelated news, Parliament announces grants and loans to light manufacturing startups that will produce domestic consumables and appliances, such as refrigerators, TV dinners, plastic ware, washing machines, etc.

Mining and foresting grants have been issued to keep up with a greater demand for raw resources in domestic and foreign industries.

The delegate from Poloxia takes the floor.

"Representatives and Representativesses, please listen closely to what we have to tell you! The actions of North Korea are obviously unifying actions, as was the case in the United States in the 1800's. We will support any actions taken to unify the peoples of one tongue and one culture under one government.

Other nations are going to argue that the DPRK just wants to enslave it's own people, Poland says otherwise, rather than enslave it's own people, the DPRK most-likely wishes to make Korea a viable manufacturing hub of Asia, one that may compete with overpowering American industry, especially in production of home appliances that cost too much and break too often.

I yield the rest of my time to the chair.

                          Canadian Representative:

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we agree wholeheartedly with the principle of Poloxia's analysis of American manufacturing. While of course they are doing a fine job, more competitiveness never hurt anyone. Which is exactly why this attempt at forcible military unification under a communist government is not the answer. The best thing for Korea, and indeed the world community and its workers, is an open market system. Thus not only does the North seek to impose an illegitimate system on the South, as the South has chosen not to adopt it, but they would do so by illegitimate means, a military invasion, and doubtless, military occupation to enforce their unwanted rule. Freedoms and the livelihood of the peoples of the Korean penninsula will only be curtailed if this continues.
The only way the Communist and Western blocs will ever achieve a working relationship is if unprovoked aggression and power plays are recognized for what they are. We call on all the United Nations to condemn this, and, if North Korea does not cease and withdraw immediately, aid in whatever military efforts are necessary to repulse the invasion."

Hey USA, can we have some guns and bombs and planes and stuff? Pretty please?

                              NOTICE

Nuclear Master will no longer be able to moderate, so I am taking over the role. But Israel, China, Poland, Australia, Finland, and Yugoslavia do not make a complete Cold War NES. I have sent messages to a few people and hopefully we will get a few more players, but I'm afraid that unless we get at least 2 more players within the next 2 days this NES can't survive.
