96 nations have signed a petition in support of a new Chairman.

UR, Tibet is not a province.

I think what foolish means is that in 1951 Tibet was invaded by China, and since you didn´t order the invasion yet, it´s not a part of China...

Unless I have skipped past that specific order in any of your past posts...

I beleive Tibet was invaded 1949/1950. Seems that China Chairman forgot that. Foolish's map shows that Tibet is indenpendent.

The Cuban people are horrified about the war-mongering fascists invasion plans! Che will lead the troops into victory! The people have decided to take arms against the foreign pigs. Viva la victoria siempre! We will burn the capitalists to their tanks!

                      Oh fine

                      Xinhua News Flash:

At 9:00am local time, Dalai Lama, ignoring the orders of local authorities, declared Tibet to be independent and himself Emperor. Armed rables organised by Dalai Lama have been putting a seige on the small garrison in the region. The local authorities sent out a plea for assistance.

Responding swiftly, the Military Committee ordered the PLA to put down the counter-revolution and to restore order. Right away, PLA troops started moving into Tibet.

It is expected that the order can be restored in a week's time.

Interesting propaganda trick... So the Tibetians, although independant for hundreds of years now, just declared independence? And they led siege on what?

Btw, the real war lastet three years, so no chance to do it in one week (Tibet is four times as big as Japan )

Well, if you don´t tag them secret, they aren´t
Also the USA is full of Communist spies, didn´t McCarthy tell you that?
So an invasion with "every troop possible" can´t be kept secret...

OOC: Look Micha, in every single NES I have played orders are SECRET! Is there even a point to this NES if it isn't? I know exactly what everyone is doing, where and when, to who, and all their other information. I'm out of here.

Oh dear, don´t take it too heavily. It´s just a game. Stay with us, it´s fun!

Everybody uses those secret tags, and it´s always been used in those NES I´ve been in. If you don´t use tags, it´s open for all, that´s why we post "newspapers" and the like. You can control what info flows to other nations, and how it does that.

The cold war was about propaganda, which means full control of information. post your orders in SECRET tags, and then invent a nice little cover story which is broadcasted to the world.

Secret tags, yes, but through diplomacy only. Exactly, Micha. You just went around in circles. I control what information gets out, not other people picking at my orders. And, I just don't personally find a NES where orders are not secret, fun.

OOC: Tibet wasn't independent at any point in time after the Mongols smacked them around some. During the Qing dynasty, for example, there was always Chinese troops inside Tibet, and the ultimate ruler was the Emperor. Even though the lamas had pretty much free reign.
