Last train to Leningrad: War reparations paid
18.9.1952: Today, the last train of war reparations demanded by USSR leaved the Vainikkala train
station aheading to Leningrad. These reparations were worth 300 million american dollars and they were collected since the end of war in 1944.
They were almost 15% of the nations expenses and shows, what even a little nation can do united and having in mind the principle of promises not broken.

We appriciate your offer of valuable national treasures to tour in finnish museums. In a world like this, its good to see actions for friendship and not for having nations to their side. If you like, we can send some of our articles to Egypt. Also, we will sponsor a racer to attend the Nile race.

Thanks, but not thanks. We won't be part of FFP, unless we'll get any guarantee that its totally neutral.

        From Fidel to the World

The Cuban people owe their eternal gratitude to the fellow communists around the world whose solidarity has once again made freedom and social justice flourish on our little island. The imperialists ambitions can only be stopped by the Soviet peacekeepers with whom the re-established Cuban Peoples Army continues to work with. The presence of these troops is vital to our freedom and we hope they will stay on the island to stand united with us against the imperialist pigs waiting to enslave our people.

*Fidel continues to address numerous issues varying from the first communist on the moon to the banana price fixing. After 7 hours of speech everyone is allowed to go home to get some rest. Before that though, everyone gets to sing their favourite song, the Internationale!

Fidel and his comrades celebrate the victory over the Capitalist pigdogs!

        Hasta la victoria siempre!

        • From TV Popolare Cubano International:

"After its victorious revolution, Cuba has made its appearance as a symbol of freedom and banner of socialism in Latin America.

The Cuban people, under the correct and seasoned leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba led by Comrade Fidel Castro Ruz, have successfully pushed forward the socialist cause.

The United States, regarding Cuba which advances vigorously under the uplifted banner of socialism in the western hemisphere as a thorn in its side, left no stone unturned to stifle the Cuban revolution by hanging on all sorts of despicable means such as military intervention, sabotage, sanction, etc.

The revolutionary will of the Cuban people to safeguard the gains of revolution and speed up the socialist construction grows ever stronger.

Today the Cuban people hold fast to their faith in socialism, strengthen revolutionary army and push ahead with revolution and construction, braving innumerable ordeals and adversities without hesitation or vacillation.

State power of Cuba is gaining day after day and its external relations are expanding further.

In his speech made at an anti-US rally, last year, Comrade Fidel Castro stressed that the Cuban revolution had won victory through the struggle of millions of indefatigable Cuban people, they would not be forced to give in by any means and Cuba would never give up its independence. This is a vivid show of the principle stand and revolutionary will of the Cuban people. "

Horror as americans search house to house for communists at the height of their disastrous invasion. In reality hundreds of families just disappeared as american fascists shot them at sight.

We are happy to see how rapidly you have recovered. Egypt's mission is accomplished and will now begin withdrawing its forces from Cuba in accordance with the Treaty of Cairo. This is not the end of our aid though. We are pleased to make available to you some loans at very low interest, I hope they will assist your recovery. If I were you I'd use them to build dams, but thats just me.

                  • July through December 1952

Special Section: Mushroom clouds dot the landscape.

The seconds ticked down. A bright flash, and the onlookers involuntarily turned their heads away: As they looked back, they saw a plume of dust and water and fire erupt from the previously placid landscape. The Cloud raced upwards and towards them violently. Seconds later, a tremendous boom and a furious gust of wind rocked the onlookers. Seemingly in response to this epic challenge, not long after more plumes would rise into the atmosphere, somewhere across the ocean.

NEWSFLASH: FRANCE AND BRITAIN NEWEST NUCLEAR POWERS!

France and then Great Britain, apparently coincidentally, tested their own nuclear weapons only days apart on separate Pacific atolls. Each country’s government has announced more or less the same message, that for the security of their people they cannot rely on the constraint of the nuclear superpowers, and must possess their own defensive stockpiles. In response to the U.S. request to limit nuclear weapon numbers, France and Britain have agreed to only produce limited numbers of atomic bombs, joining the USSR and USA in their de facto nuclear constraint. Both powers claim to have not produced any additional nuclear weapons in the last several years.

                    East Germany

Egypt has extended her recognition to the sovereignty of the DDR, which has triggered somewhat of a snowballing of other states recognizing East Germany, including some but not all Western countries and most neutral countries. With this standardization of relations, trade is becoming normalized and is picking up a bit.

                    Finland

Art Exchange with Egypt. Last of war reparations paid to the USSR, leaving a significant part of the budget available for other ends.

                    China

More of more of the same. China is hauling ass in the industrial and agricultural department. There have been murmurs of discontentment within the People’s Chamber, as accusations are quietly made that the Chairman routinely sleeps through assemblies.

                    USA

President dies of heart attack, vice president takes over. USA forms Free People Pact, which is an better-organized set of trade rules. Most members are already allies of the US, plus a few neutral nations. Some poor countries accuse the FPP bylaws as being unfair to smaller countries, and the FPP only a pretense for keeping the rich countries dominant.
Mexicans fleeing their country’s civil war are attempting to cross the border in droves, border security are having a terrible time at trying to stop this, and despite sometimes using violent force, many refugees are illegally coming in.
(SECRET : Spies in Cuba report something fishy is going on, even at their high level within the party they can’t tell for sure, but it involves some Soviet plan.)

                    USSR

Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Rumania, and Bulgaria join the USSR in the International Committern. The DDR is making moves towards joining, but the government needs to clear a few things up first.

                    Egypt

Work continues on King Farouk Dam. To help publicize this, the Egyptians are holding an offroad race along the length of the Nile open to the International community. Perhaps because of this publicity, several nations are selling Egypt the equipment and raw materials needed to expedite the project, at competitive prices. These include the East Germans, who are supplying mechanical engineers, technicians, and design teams, and the American, who are offering machinery and large loans at generous interest rates, as well as labor and supplies from neighboring Arab countries.
                    Joins FPP.
The military is learning in-depth about the Cuban war, and practicing training exercises to train the troops about how to fare in similar circumstances. They are just about ready to pull out, according to treaty terms.
The Officers in Mexico are getting to witness first hand how Mexico deals with its insurgents, since the latter are currently marching through the streets and besieging the few remaining government strongholds all across the country.
                    Art exchange with Finland.
The King has expressed his disdain for the “Bathhouse Revolutionaries”, a name that has stuck among the citizens of Egypt, if not Sudan, for the political dissidents. He has also proposed a plan for Egypt to get what she needs, which has swayed much of Egypt behind the King, but the military and intellectual elite, as well as the Sudan, are still tense and unsatisfied, uncertain of their path but desiring to take some definite action to achieve their ends.
                    Military expansion.
The poorly organized anti-monarchist movements have been mostly successfully infiltrated and many, perhaps most, have been disbanded and a few leaders arrested, but the discontent remains.

                    Mexico

Civil War! The country is in turmoil as most soldiers defect to the popular front and the government is besieged. Some speculate that the Americans are behind the organization for this revolution, others suggest that the Soviets are responsible. It is not immediately clear what ideology the rebels hope to enact in law, only that they want “freedom and an end to oppression”. Whether this means they intend to swing capitalist or communist, none can say with any certainty, as there are multiple ideological camps in Mexico, any one of which could make up the next leadership of the country.

                    Cuba

King Farouk presents Castro with the Nuut al-Waagib al-Askarii.
Fidel is talkative, but the Cuban people are okay with that. The way he talks about banana prices, it’s poetic. By necessity, Cuba is also rapidly becoming the world’s leading manufacturer of the most comfortable folding chairs available anywhere.
The Cuban government now has a tidy propaganda arm going, which is almost entirely funded by American purchasing the hip new Fidel-wear. There are monuments and stuff too.
Distribution of emergency supplies eases suffering, and the country is recovering at a quick pace, considering the devastation that was present just a year ago.
Military stuff, but that’s secret, unless you look on the previous page.

                    Yugoslavia

Yugoslavia joins NATO! 16 hours later, Soviet divisions crossed the border in a full-out invasion, with heavy artillery and air support. The outnumbered Yugoslavian forces have been forced to retreat on all fronts, but valor, necessity, and knowledge of rough terrain have allowed them to keep the Soviets moving slowly, but move they do.

                    Korea

Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!…Bam! And that was the end of the Korean rebel leader. With the newest hit on the insurgency, it seemed like the DPRK Internal State Security Force had the insurgent scum on the run, until…
Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Ca-Click. Shuuuck. Bam! Bam! Bam! And that was the end of the Korean State Leader.
                    Only minutes later…
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. To-BOOOOM! Big explosion at the Communist Headquarters in Pyongyang! The State Media has not released the casualty list, all they say is that there was “loss of life due to the despicable cowardly attack”. The rebel population base is growing, and they are increasingly striking out at state strongholds from hidden locations and fortresses.
The Korean Government claims they have discovered concrete evidence undeniably linking the USA to the rebel organization and the recent attacks. They accuse the US government of supplying intelligence, funds, equipment, and organization to the rebels.

                    Other News

Communist propaganda is showing up in West Germany, where it is cracked down on quickly by the government, in France, where the communists are becoming more organized and maybe even more numerically prevalent, but they face a lot of opposition from other ideological camps, and in certain parts of the Middle east, where the ideology has caught on some among some people, and several Middle Eastern governments are reportedly seeking closer relationships with Moscow.

Full scale rebellion in French Indochina, where French forces are getting pushed back. France appeals for immediate help from NATO.

                                PUBLIC TRANSMISSION

This is Marshal Tito of Yugoslav National Army. Our country has been invaded by overwhelming amount of nefarious Soviet forces, bent on stamping out indenpendent countries. We cannot hold the line any longer, but as members of NATO attacked by forces of USSR, we can conclude that Third World War has begun. We appeal for whole NATO alliance, according to NATO cahrter, for immediate help - mobilise your force and attack USSR - their forces must be destroyed by all means - even if that means use of nuclear weapons. We cannot contain enemy forces, but neither we could 11 years ago. Instead, once again, we will withdraw to mountains and forests, and start a guerilla war against Soviets. They will soon find out the price of attacking us. Every man, woman and child shall be part of our resistance forces!
                                For the victory of socialism!

to USA, UK, France and rest of NATO

Fullscale invasion of USSR forces on a member of NATO constitutes a declaration of war on whole NATO alliance. As our fellow NATO allies, we appeal for your help. We suggest massive air and nuclear strike on USSR cities, factories and major troop concentrations. Our troops are withdrawing and regrouping for guerilla warfare - we will need supply of weapons - contact our ambassadors in order to negotiate details how our forces will be supplied.

To Hungary, Albania, Romania, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, East Germany and other members of Communist bloc

You can see what happens when we do not abide the dictatorship of USSR. We are right and they are wrong - their way of communism is wrong - our vision of socialism is future. Support USSR in this war and you will sign your own death sentence.

                                To Egypt and Finland

We need your cover support in supplies and weapons, and possibly inteligence. Is this possible?

                                Orders:
Disperse troops and start organisation of resistance movement and partisan cells. Hide remaining weapon caches and/or redistribute them among people. Use partisan veterans to our benefit and start guerilla warfare. Destroy uncaptured airfields during withdrawal.

(OOC) WWIII starts- cool. Many interesting things happened while I was gone. BTW do we post or PM orders?
