I'm having good fun in Neverwinter Nights. If you really like to play RPGs multiplayer, then I highly recommend it. If not, then consider it but it might not be the best choice.Lime roots and treachery!

NHL 2003 is the best NHL game available on the PC, but NHL 2K3 is by far a better NHL game. It's only available on consoles though, which are apparently too difficult for you to use.Originally posted by Sava

I read the interview on Apolyton where the project lead explained why they made it SP only. Based on my Civ3/PtW experience, I totally agree with him. I also concluded earlier that the main problem with Civ3 is the idiotic AI. Lo and behold, the GalCiv team seems to be focusing on creating a clever AI. Am I being suckered in by the marketing machinery here or what?!
On the less-than-bright side certain things seem to be a bit rough in this game. For example the resources, which were a great invention of Civ3, have less than a perfect "story" in GalCiv, IMHO.
As a side question, am I correct in thinking that there is no predefined tech tree in MOO3 and not only the research speed is randomized to a certain level but tech order is also a bit different in every game? This seems to be a great idea.Comment

I don't believe any talking about a clever AI, before I see it. During the making of The Settlers IV, there was much talking about the AI was much better, since they now ("now" as in "back-then now") has had 3 programmers, who only worked on the AI (In The Settlers III, they only had one)... at the end, the AI was just as stupid, as in The Settlers III...Originally posted by delmar

This is another interesting aspect I have been thinking about lately. AFAIK a single programmer was responsible for the whole AI in Civ3 as well.they now ("now" as in "back-then now") has had 3 programmers, who only worked on the AI (In The Settlers III, they only had one)
I must be missing something but I think I would put about 80% of programming resources on the AI if I wanted to develop a turn based strategy game. I mean the rest of Civ3 (from a programming point of view, not the graphics and "story") looks like what, a relaxed semester project for a CS major?
Perhaps I should get into the gaming business!?!
