No; Christianity comes from the Judaic tradition, remember? Christ is believed to be *the* messiah. In the first century, Christianity was first regarded as a peculiar sect of Judaism that regarded some guy from Nazareth as the Christ. Jews are(in that respect) just Christians who don't believe Jesus was the real deal. Despite what Pat Robertson may tell you, Jews are not the antichrist...

Sorry for the obscurity.
The Bishop of Durham (not the current one, or maybe he's still there) several years ago mentioned that he held the view that the virgin birth was not to be taken literally and was simply a nice story for the kids, or words to that effect. I believe Durham cathedral got struck by lightning shortly afterwards...

It's not that we don't like Revelations,

It's just relatively difficult to interpret, as apocalyptic literature.

Jews simply believe that Christ is not the Messiah, and that the first of two Messiahs is yet to come. Both Christians and Jews should have similar accounts for the end of days, but Jews have to rely more upon Daniel, while Christians have both Daniel and Revelations.
