Yeah, but in the Quad Cities outside of my university's campus, we have a strong gay community with our own resources.

I live in Davenport, Iowa part of the Quad Cities, and in Davenport alone, we have three (soon four) gay-oriented night clubs. In Rock Island, Illinois, we have an organization called Quad Citians Affirming Diversity that welcomes people of all minority sexual orientations.

So for the most part, my social life is a lot stronger outside of campus with the friends I have.
