Spain is "a third world country"?

I don't know what I must do in order to stop people attacking my country. What thing exactly do you hate from Spain? Why do you think that are stupid? Do you think that the people must be jugde using where they were born?

This link (random search on Google) show Spain as 10 economy by GNB:

As always, I can be wrong. If you think so, please explain me

He was making a skit around the fact that Spain was by far the largest net receiver of EU funds to goad Fez. I don't think it was a personal attack on you or Spain

Not on me, I'm sure SD. But call a country 'stupid third colony' sounds bad. And if Saint Marcus wants to attack Fez, he must not attack anybody else. If he doesn't want to attack anybody, I add a 'explain me' message (with edit option, because I send the message too early - I push the incorrect button)

Also I'm very sensitive about that. I've the fear that I can miss-understand somebody (It happened me on the past) because my English is not soo good.

I love to be polite, and I try to not insult anybody.

        Thank you for your answer

          nah, I like Spain.

just three things about the country that piss me off.

          1. Giancarlo
          2. Real Madrid is heavily in debt, yet can still afford to buy star players
          3. They take a lot of my tax money

and sometimes I do think it's a third world nation But same goes for loads of nations, so don't take it personally.

There are many people that make stupid comments like the one Marcus made. I'd let them go because to do otherwise is a waste of time - most people realise how stupid it is, and the person who says it is probably trolling.

The time when I would pull them up on such statements is if people showed an inkling of believing it, or the comment was ripe for mockery.

I don't think anyone could seriously beleive Spain is a third world country.

No problem then. Sorry If my previous post seems too agressive with you

And about Real Madrid's debt: they have sold their terrain on city center, and gain a huge, huge amount of money that they have used to pay his debt. So, Real Madrid is now without debt.

Yes, Spain recieves many money (1st reciever by far) from UE. But that is going to end. Those new countries have lower GNB/per capita figures, so your money will go to these countries.

We're not in the business of expanding via annexation anymore. We haven't been in that business for over one hundred years. People would get way way too upset if we started annexing territory left and right. The Apolyton OT board would probably melt down.

In the interest of world peace we refuse to annex Mexico.

SD, are you sure you're not from the U.S.?

Unlikely. Mexico votes againest us just on principle at every OAS meeting.

                          "Just let Mexico annex you."

                          OK with me.

We'd then push through a change of the Mexican constitution to reflect our consititution (e.g., Articles I-VII, amendments, etc.) then change the name of Mexico to "The United States of America."

You know. Small things to help us feel comfortable.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I like the idea of making Turkey the 51st state. It can't be any worse than Texas .

Anyway, that geography comes at a price. I have to say, it takes a bit of getting used to the idea that the EU would share a border with Syria, Iraq and Iran....
