It´s not good enough Fez, you will have to change your debating style. Look at some of the other anti-communist posters here, like Imran. Civility is the keyword.
But I have been... I haven't gone yelling at people like crazy like I used to, and I presented some points the opposition still has yet to rebut.
Now, I kinda like you Fez (God knows why... ) but your debating style gets tiresome when your back is against the wall...
I don't know why you would like me anyways. Our political beliefs are starkly different and our economic beliefs are complete opposite.
My back is NOT against the wall, I am just defending my opinion.

If you really are defending the USSR I suggest you find this quote funny usually said by my economic teacher mocking Joseph Stalin:
He speaks English with an attempt of an Russian accent saying "Yes, we have 0% unemployment, those who don't work are sent to death."
Don't defend this hopeless system.
your school obviously hires people based on their social, rather than pedagogical skills
the real decline of soviet economy started under khruschev. former ussr states are still running on infrastructure created during stalin.

Look my teacher was just joking around... he always has a joke to say and criticizes everybody including himself jokingly. He is never meant to be offensive.
Stalin did send 20 million people to rot in Gulags.

Russia is just as poor now as it has always been. By western standards, the government is still repressive. However, nowadays the government could never get away with killing tens of millions of its own citizens. It's a good thing the soviet empire is gone. It won't be back.
interesting point. russia will always be worse than its western counterparts. we can disagree about tens of millions, but the perspective is there...they are just as bad by today's standards today as they were by past standards in 1930's
LaRusso, at least they are having economic growth that can be sustained and is not superficial.

haha, the results of 'fake' growth during stalin can still be seen on dnieprostroi and moscow metro. putin does not have enough money today to repair that infrastructure, let alone build it anew. anyway, a good proportion of the growth was there because the oil prices shot up. we'll see....

Lets see here: Putin has been abled to transform his economy into one that works, and has been abled to make the government transparent. The first time that has ever happened in Russia. Also the proportion of growth was actually from economic diversification. And Russia has been named a free market economy by the US.

Moomin, you may quote as much of Nazi platform as you want. It doesn't matter. When it came to getting votes, Hitler was the friend of the working man, a true Christian, not to forget a man of peace who just wants to unify the German people.
Well, Stefu, I agree Hitler, like most politico's, was happy to ride any pony that happened to be headed his way.
When it came to real life, that wasn't true, of course. Hitler in public vs. Hitler in private were wholly different deals.
And what particular practices of nazi policy makes you doubt their socialist zeal? Tip: mentioning thing that come from the national side of the national socialist equation doesn't really cut it - they did this on top of, and in addition to, their socialist practices.
"The number of political murders was a little under one million (800,000 - 900,000)." - chegitz guevara on the history of the USSR. "I think the real figures probably are about a million or less." - David Irving on the number of Holocaust victims.

Well, one could mention anti-union legislation and such, but what you're asking to do is proving a negative. I'll phrase it this way and throw it back at you: what particular practices of Nazi policy make you believe they were zealous socialists?
"Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe. Matter transcends to return to spirit. The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. S. presidency

What socialist practices? What, just because their organization called itself socialist, you believe it? Does that mean that you believe that Freedom Road Socialist Organization is really about freedom? Is Prairie Fire really about a Prairie Fire? Is Acorn really about an acorn? Does New Labor have anything to do with labor?
The Nazis smashed the unions and replaced them with new Nazi unions, which gave the employers everything they asked for and reported to the government on any disgruntled workers. They handed over huge subsidies to major corporations, including slaves. They conquered huge swathes of terriroties and then handed the resources in those territories over to the corporations. Naziism is a capitalist's wet dream of profitablity.
Even a minor capitalist like Schindler could walk into Aushwitz and demand his workers be released (greased with a bribe). Had IG Farben or GE or Krupps demanded that their slaves be fed and clothed better, it would have happened.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
