I can't imagine Bush coming up with an independent thought on how to lead his country, or the world.

That is his greatest virtue, he asks and accepts the advice of the people around him.

Average IQ is 100-110. Bush isn't as smart as the average person. I put him at 90-100. No, I don't like him, that's true. I didn't like Clinton, but the man was clearly far more intelligent than Bush. I detested Bush's father, but he also was clearly more intelligent. We have to go back to Reagan to find a president as dumb as Shrubya.

that does not make his IQ low.
Knowledge is defenitely not the same as IQ.

You need a high IQ to gather information, analyse it, and then conclude the right thing.

I figure Bush is 100-120, he is as smart as the average person (you can tell by his actions)

the average person is pretty stupid

Exactly, Bush doesn't do that, others do it for him.

Bush doesn't do that. Other people do it for him. You can tell who's been talking to him by what comes out of the White House: either Powell and the conservatives or Cheney and the reactionaries. If the man was intelligent as some people here would like to think, Bush's policies wouldn't flip-flop like a fish out of water.

I think it's safe to say that, given the SCOTUS's ruling, Bush would be inelligible for execution...

He tricked you all! You all fell for it! Don't you get it. Bush is a brilliant mastermind. He's got this conspiracy to take over the world. And our government is part of it. And Cuba is part of it. As well as the Israelis, Palestinians, bin Laden, Hussein. Though only the puppet masters of those organizations actually know what's going on. It's really quite brilliant.

It all falls into place when you look at it. He let Osama bin Laden attack the United States, killing a few thousand. But far less died than should have if you think about it. This shocks the people so much that they are willing to do anything to make this nightmare go away. Using the people, Bush wages an indefinite war. The people support him becuase they are so terrified they can think of no better possible action. This sort of thing has never happened before and they don't know how to respond.

Then, Bush says Iraq is becoming a threat again. He establishes the plan of preemptive attacks against the Sinister Six. As this war grows, the Israel-Palestine conflict explodes into total war. The Middle East takes the side of the Palestinians. We go help our Israeli friends, escalating the conflist. The EU halts support of the US (due in part to the United States slow withdrawl from the UN and such) and joins the Middle East countries.

Bam! World War III has begun. The United States, now completely dominated by Bush as only a dictator with absolute control could handle this situation, fights against the Middle East and the European Union.

The rest of the world will probably come to the aid of the EU and ME. The US will be forced to use nuclear weapons, causing a nuclear winter and pretty much the end of civilization as we know it.

Then, Bush, after having changed his appearance, will rise up from the ashes and become the leader of a new world order dedicated to peace. And he will rule the world. But he won't be Bush anymore, he'll take on a new identity. And in this war-ravaged world, no one will know.

Brilliant plan. He just plays dumb! Like no one suspects Yoda to be kick ass! But he was. Oh yes he was. And so is Bush. I give him the highest IQ on the poll!

I don't know what his IQ is, but I know he scored so low on his ASVAB (the test used to get into the military in the US, I think he scored 20%), that the only way that he got into the National Guard was by pulling strings. While an ASVAB test isn't as generalized as a IQ test and thus not nearly as reliable an indicator of Intelligence as an IQ test, I think the test at least hints at the fact that the man ain't too bright.

                        Just a guess, but....

He tops out far beyound any of you that mocked him.

"President Bush was born July 6, 1946, and grew up in Midland and Houston, Texas. He received a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He served as an F-102 pilot for the Texas Air National Guard before beginning his career in the oil and gas business in Midland in 1975, working in the energy industry until 1986. "

From an on-line bio of him, let's see, a degree from Yale, an Ivy league school with a high reputation for scholastic achievment.

A master's from Havard, the premire college of the USA.

Had the motor skills to become a pilot.

                        Worked in the energy field.

                        Need I go on?
Just because you don't like his politics, doesn't make him stupid.
I'm not a fan of him, I didn't vote for him or agree with large portions of his domestic measures, but that doesn't make him stupid.

A lot of you really need to grow up.

A Manager doesn't know the answers to all questions, he knows what questions to ask; and an effective Manager surrounds himself with competent staff, as Bush has done.

Hey Chris, when your daddy's a rich oil guy, you usually can get into Yale. And anyone can tell you that getting good grades in school is about sitting down and doing the work, not being smart.

Sloww... you have it the other way around. The competent people around him chose the guy with the best social skills and the popular family name to run.
