I think we have to be careful not to tar groups of people with the same brush , the vast majority of Ethnic minorities can speak English , and very well .. the vast majority today, are born in the UK, and have no problems fitting in.

I have already said I find it objectionable that a person chooses to live in any country, only to activly hate it .. There are some people who do this, from all backgrounds .. but what do we do as a nation to stop this ??

I see so much good that comes from the different ethnic groups , Leicester has really benefitted from the business created by Gujarti's, and I have seen English people celebrating Diwali with them .. Great .. more celebrations !! There contacts with India have been extremely beneficial in trade .. and in my opinion, will become extremely important in the future .. for all those who hadn't thought of it yet .. how long will it be before we have an Indian Prime minister ???? not long as long as you think..

Differences make a people more interesting, not less .. we have everything to gain from mixing together .. and regardless of the actions of some stick in the muds who refuse to mix, mix we will.

Its an interesting fact, but the UK's national dish is no longer Fish & Chips .. but Curry !!

I started this thread not as a racist rant but to gaugue opinions concerning why there is a backlash and support of BNP. Freedom Fighters of England are an alternative group (I must add I support neither but can identify with some of their less extremist views).

I dont want to repatriate ethnic groups but realise that our countries history and culture is being watered doen by government etc, and its time to fight back. In 50 years, afternoon tea parties (just an example of English culture - and a poor one at that) will be a thing of the past. White English culture, yes Middle class if you like will be an ethnic minority in the country that it was spawned.

Stand up for our own rights - why does everyine always pull the race card and get politically correct. e.g.

Sir Paul Condon - Metropolitan Police Commisioner says "most muggers are black" - he got carpetted by the press and ethnic groups but the fact of the matter is HE IS RIGHT, most muggers are black. Can't white people speak out for themselves and look after their own interests without being branded racist

Yeah - but you have to ask yourself why most muggers are black. Is it because blacks are intrinsically more inclined to mug than are whites? Of course not! It's because blacks are generally still not given the same opportunities as whites are...and all this is *because* of the racist undercurrent from parties like the BNP.

Err .. I started the thread ... as ive said, my wife is Indian, and so I was interested in other people's views ...

I think the issue of racism amongst ALL ethnic groups should be addressed .. It is very difficult for somebody though with your opinions to be taken seriously ..

Actually Barley yes .. I lived in London for 4 years, and travelled the tube each day to work .. I had no problems ..

Barley - it is times like this I can only be thankful that this sort of mentality is dying out in Britain today. I don't see at all how the Anglo-Saxon whites should 'take control' - that is about as racist as you can get. The majority of Britain today is a great example of how various cultures can integrate, and be better off for it - parties like the National Front are the only thing preventing fully peaceful co-operation, because they are bastards. It's as simple as that - Leicester is a fine example. I'm British, and I'm proud to be British. But I'm not proud to be British because of afternoon tea parties or fish and chips. I'm proud to be British because we are a tolerant, inclusive modern society, that for the most part doesn't judge people on the colour of their skin, or even the place of their birth. That, surely, is something we *can* be proud of - British culture, as well as British society, is changing - for the better.

Hell, if you want to, go and support the BNP in their plight, I'm sure they could use you. I'm sure being exposed to the sheer vitriol they spout would change your mind in itself - they want to drive the polluting Pakis out of our glorious country, it's as simple as that. Not something I'm particularly keen on, I must admit.

The BNP are fascists, racists, and Nazis, and no-one can credibly argue that they aren't. One of Nick Griffin's convictions (he's the BNP Fuhrer, by the way) is for inciting racial hatred. He told a group of Ku Klux Klanners in America (and if the BNP is 'moderate' and non-racist then why are they soliciting support from the KKK) that he didn't intend to water down the BNP's neo-Nazi, racist beliefs but rather 'sell them', packaging them up in 'acceptable' language.

The truth is, racism and fascism are NOT acceptable no matter how you try to justify them. The rights of one group in society can never justifiably be put above any other, and everyone should be free to live in whichever country they wish. Britain's multicultural society is one of its greatest strengths, not a weakness which must be excised.

Oh, and the BNP gains are minuscule. Arthur Scargill's Socialist Labour Party, one of the smallest in British politics, gained more votes in the General Election than they did in the locals, for crying out loud. The numer of independent candidates who were elected outnumbered the BNP several hundred to three (yes, it is three now - a recount let one of them in by a margin of four votes). The BNP is as marginal now as it ever was and so it shall remain - Britain will reject this Nazi party just as it rejected all the others.

The BNP must not be supported in any way. They are racists and fascists, pure and simple, and as such are totally abhorrent to any right-thinking person.
